My white EB has arrived at the dealer and will be ready for pickup tomorrow. Ive checked it out and fit and finish looks pretty good we get the Shaker sound system but not the boot woofer. The way it sits wide and squat is terrific. Seats, driving position and visibility v. Good on first look. No plate brackets fitted but two small dimples on the bumper. No big deal. Matts supplied - for once!

Got this indirectly from a Parramatta dealer today on the hold-ups...
"Parramatta dealership has been waiting on a shipment since October and he found out that it has been sitting on the docks in Australia since that time. He was told yesterday that the reason was that the taillights do not comply with Australian regulations and there was another similar localisation problem that he couldn’t remember. Discussions re exemptions etc for initial shipments have been taking place with relevant govt departments".

Add this to the list of reasons I reckon.

That is bizarre ... have not heard that one and it doesn't appear to have held up other deliveries happening this week. :eyebulge:

So looks like the lovely lady from Ford AU spun me a little story on Monday over the phone. I've just had confirmation from the dealership that the car is in fact NOT currently in the NT, and is still sitting in Adelaide. My dealer has advised me to allow at least 14 days for delivery.

I'm half expecting to receive a card saying "Merry F****** Christmas. Sincerely, Ford Australia."

I cannot believe the amount of miscommunication this circus act has been... I was really trying to stay quite calm and collected about this ordeal and have a positive attitude, telling myself it comes when it comes; but alas.

Ford Australia couldn't get their customer comms more wrong if they tried.It's frustrating for everyone including the dealers.
