As I was taking some pictures earlier, I noticed that my right fog lights is way brighter than my left one, so I picked up some new ones today.

Looked at the manual on how to change these fog lights but it's not adding up correctly. I do have the roush fascia but I'm not sure if the fog light area is any different.

Tried twisting anything that looked twistable counter clockwise but either I'm not applying enough pressure or I'm doing something completely wrong. Just don't want to apply too much pressure and break anything because that's the only thing that happens when I do anything even close to modding, maintenance, etc.

Anyone swapped out their fog lights and have any input on how to take these out? This is what I'm dealing with:

LED assemblies

I'm fairly certain that there's no "bulb" to replace on those housings. The LEDs are likely on a PCB on the other side of that large heatsink, and if something is wrong with it, you'll have to replace the entire assembly (housing, lens, and all), which could be a little expensive.

Any reason the car isn't still under warranty?

FML. Those things are like $500. I've done a lot to the car thus far but I can't see why any of it would affect the warranty in that area. Going to call the dealer to see what my options are.

The factory fog lights are more complicated than just a regular light bulb. There are circuits inside the housing. Probably some PWM circuits.

Nice. Thanks man. Almost forgot about these! It almost looks like those LEDs can be replaced without having to replace the whole thing, but I don't know.

These will allow you to change the bulb/LED. Although, are the fogs in the Roush nose the same as the Ford factory fogs?

Just heard back from Ford and these aren't covered under the warranty... not because of my mods or anything though.

Guess I'll be going with some Diode Dynamic LEDs. Might as well pick up the DRL LED boards for the headlights while I'm at it.

Cool!!! Let us know how it all works out. :headbang:

Next time I'm down in Red Stick, I'm going to have to check out your car.

Thanks guys for all of the help. I ordered the DD RBG fog lights, cool white HID replacements, and also the RBG DRL LED boards.

Gonna install the fog lights first and see if I can find someone for the lights. Gonna post back with pics once installed.

Indeed! Shoot me a PM when you're around!

Got my Diode Dynamics Conversion RGB Fog Light Kit installed tonight! I brought it to the shop since they were going to do it for a reasonable price, but the instructions confused the mechanic a little bit. So all he did was replace the fog glass for me and asked me to hit up DD since it looked like something was missing.

Came home and put in the LED bulbs in and the wiring turned out to be more simple than I thought -- nothing turned out to be missing, just a bit confusing at first. I actually hid the wires behind a tube between the upper and lower grille. Got the wires tie wrapped around there so it's nice and clean.

One thing that sucks for me is that I can't change the colors while in the car. Have to be outside in the front of the car to change it. Guessing that it's that way on purpose.

Pics below:

Here's the natural color (not too sure I'm happy with this, but it's tolerable):

Video (forgive me for using the modes repetitively. still getting used to the controller):

I plan on hitting them up when they open to see if I can reprogram this default color to make it look more like the switchbacks.

Either going to return these if I can or sell them. Not happy that I can't accomplish a cool white. I feel like my light setup in the front is ghetto by not matching up. The colors look great, but white? Nope.
