Im currently trying to settle on which Catback I want.... I have been looking at videos for months here and there.
It really is hard to get a good comparison. I think the majority of videos you find on youtube will not give you an accurate sample of the exhaust note/tone whatever you like to call it, and then trying to compare one with another becomes even more difficult, because of differences in equipment used to record the sounds, and then your equipment used to play the sounds back. Im sure some of the deeper sounds are completely lost in most videos.

Having said all that, I have heard the ford racing (FRPP) catback described as 'tinny' sounding at WoT, and I think that FRPP xpipe/Roush axle-back, possibly increases that characteristic. (or sounds like it in the above video)

Here is a video that demonstrates that a little... [ame]

But then I look at other videos which make the FRPP sound really nice, so I dunno, just grab what you like, you will not really know until you hear it in person.

I like the frpp, especially at idle/startup, id like to hear it in person at WoT but what can you do?

As someone else stated its very loud. I love it now but when I first had it installed I thought I was driving a NASCAR minus 800 HP:lol:

Another roush with ford racing xpipe for you, only one good rev in that one. You probably get a better idea of volume in this one too. It does sound loud. and +1 for the number plate holder, Haha!

I dont know how much they hastle people about a loud exhaust in Melbourne, but I think in Sydney it might be more hastle than its worth in the long run.

On what car?????
On my '15GTPP. I swapped out the Ford Racing x-pipe for the lethal h-pipe and then had Pypes M-80's installed right behind the h-pipe to take away the raspiness of the Roush axle back. Sounds much better now and not as loud as before.

I assume that is $US so you can add $400 AUS for conversion.

I'm planning on installing the MBRP Street Catback with H pipe. It has a deep throaty sound and is not "raspy" .

Price is around US$660 plus freight - I have been quoted total cost delivered of under AU$1000 which I think is pretty good.

Yeah I ve looked at heaps of set ups. Borla has a good vid where they compare different exhaust in their range. I like the deeper sounding exhausts rather than treble sounding raspiness. So that leans me towards the touring exhaust. The h pipe gives a deep sound from what I can tell. Like everything it really is personal and hard to tell exactly from vids. Lots of choice.

I bought the Borla S Type after watching all of the videos, it has a nice rich sound to it.
