I can't imagine a scenario where the base gt350 doesn't wax a new ss camaro. I haven't driven a 2016 ss camaro but it can't be as good of a package as the 350. Maybe I'm biased.....

Not to take away from the track package, because I'm sure it's awesome, but I bet the base v. Track (or tech) thing would come down to driver skill. I'm sure the magnaride stuff is great, but same car with the same horsepower, tires and weight are going to result in similar times, even with the difference in dampers. It would take the best of drivers, in my opinion, to reap the benefits of the magnaride setup. Now the diff and tranny coolers might play a role on long track sessions. I don't know about s550 cars, but 99-04 irs equipped Cobras will push out rear end fluid on long sessions.

I keep wondering if Magneride is worth the extra money. I'm sure it's awesome, but I keep thinking...I've owned 2010 and 2012 GT Premiums, and those didn't have Magneride OR independent rear suspension...and I managed in those. The base GT350 has to be as good or better than that experience, so Magneride might just be overkill for me. I'm speaking from a daily driver standpoint.

I call BS on 46foxcoupe...that GT350 in the photos is a tech package vehicle...base comes without center stack guages...strut tower brace...all coolers.

Incorrect. All but the base R have auxiliary gauges. All have a strut brace, just the track pack and R get a lighter aluminum one. All GT350s have an external engine oil cooler, just not trans and diff coolers.
