Hi Guys
I have an Ecoboost premium with 20" factory wheel option. I've been looking around for winter tires for a while and the dealer I bought the car from says I can't put 17" rims and tires on my car.

Is this actually true?

Hence I ask why the claim 17" wont work just because I have 20" from factory.

17s won't work if you have brembos.
I don't. Its not even PP so As far as I know brakes and everything is the same as base ecoboost that comes with 17"s.

It depends on the wheel, if you use the proper tire and a rotory forged wheel you can most likely get away with it.

thanks for the reply. My question is, if everything's same as a base ecoboost in terms of brake size and etc, How come this makes problem and needs "getting away" with? I mean after all its just a 20" wheel and tires I could've put on after I bought the car as well.

would appreciate it if someone can technically enlighten me with the matter.
