I wonder if a light spray on the inside would work?

Agree. I thought I wouldn't mind them.. I was wrong. Very wrong
I thought they may be ok too, in some pics they are acceptable regardless of body colour, but in this pic, they just attract your eye to them, to the point that you dont even see the rest of the car. It may be the lighting, but they suck in this pic.
I can still not for the life of me understand why they went for clear. There are plenty of cars that have all red tails and the indicator flashes amber. Every time I am in traffic behind an Audi A5 with an indicator on, with it's all red tail light assembly, I just think that Ford are idiots.
Someone get the tools name that decided clear tail lights would be wonderful, there will be a sewage farm somewhere that he needs to go swimming in.

I agree. The white tail lights look terrible and most importantly NON MUSTANG! Why why why? Stupid stupid stupid. The designers did an excellent job modernising but retaining the Mustang characteristics - then some clown does this to it.
I'll be looking at a tint solution.

I think that they can look goof in some photos and not so good in other photos and therefore making a judgement based on photos only may be unadvised.
I reckon the car in total needs to be seen in person and stared at for some time and I'll bet the clear tail lights will grow on people. I myself don't mind them at all and I ordered a race red car, but photos don't do the tail lights or the car overall justice and making judgements without seeing the car yourself may be premature.

I agree with that.

Fix the typo and we'll disagree though :)

At least if everyone tints them the cops might think they come that way from the factory and won't pull us over to defect them.

that a really good point if we all do it the cops (bright little sparks that they are)
wont notice. Maybe keep a box of krispy cremes as bribes in the car....

I agree with you @Polystang, although I agree with @ecoboyboost in that they don't look "Mustang". But maybe they do now from 2015 :D

For me the jury is out until I see it in the metal as I changed my colour from Ruby Red to Guard when I saw the car in person earlier this year in the US. I was totally hooked on Ruby Red and then I saw it in the metal and was bitterly disappointed. Likewise I thought Guard was the last colour I would have gone with and when I saw it .. man oh man I just loved it.

At the moment .... I'll just be happy to get my keys the week of Dec 7 and decide on whether or not to change tail light's from there, just as I will with exhaust etc.

I reckon that they look worse with the nickel wheels/chrome window surrounds that are fitted to the vehicle that most prominently features in that photo.

Not so bad with the black wheels/no chrome set up that most of us are getting (although, yes, red would be preferable).

What about a meet of all the new cars in Dec where all the lucky ones can show off the new arrivals?

They work well on Black and White. Other colours, I agree :)
As with all of the changes made to "the world car" I'm yet to be convinced on these clear (non sequential) tail lights but, having ordered a black car I'm hoping you're correct ssb.

Note the Race Red and Triple Yellow GT's at the back of the UK pic have the Chrome Window surrounds.

What the UK guys appear to get that we don’t: Choice of 3 leather seats, line lock, optional Shaker Pro premium audio systems, custom pack (Includes "Shaker Pro" premium audio system with navigation; Climate controlled seats; Reverse parking sensors; 19" Lustre Nickel multi-spoke alloy wheels; Side windows chrome surround (Fastback only)) and the “Puddle Lamp” as standard which is the Mustang pony logo projected onto the ground from the side door mirrors. Feel short changed :(

There will be 23 delivered in Perth the week of December 7th so should be easy to organise a few :)

It's funny how there's heaps of Americans who actually like the clears!

We all want what we can't have...
