Hope it is confirmed soon. It just goes to show that there is confusion between Ford Au and some of the dealers. I think it depends on who you talk to at Ford as some seem to well clued in as the actual goings on at Flat Rock regarding build dates and progress, whereas others have no idea and seem to make stuff up. It would seem your previous build and delivery dates were plucked out of thin air by someone and now as Ford Au are getting their updates from Ford NA, the actual build and delivery dates are starting to filter through.
Well i had confirmation from the Ford AU FB team today that my dealer was correct. I now have a VIN and a supposed 2nd Feb delivery date.

I have to give the FB team credit they followed up my queries and escalated when i asked.

Just looking for some quick advice. I ordered my car Jul this year and was told sept 2016 approx delivery. I paid my deposit straight away and have had little contact with the salesman. Should I go to the dealership and speak with the New car manager to 100% ensure an order is placed as such? I'm just concerned I've left it in the hands of the salesman but I'm not sure if meeting the manager and checking all is in place is worth the visit?

Daz it's your right as a customer to go visit, say hello, and see what the progress is. Doing it in person is better than emails, so long as it's not a huge inconvenience for you.

Today is dealer long shopping Wednesday too

More than 12 months sounds extreme.
The media are saying 11-12 months and "complaining" - saying it's due to really high demand.

So 15 months, I'd be harassing them :)

She was relieved as my ranting has somewhat abated...

Funnily enough my 5 yr old told me he didnt want a mustang as his first car. When asked why he replied "cause they take too long to get here"

now to start ordering parts..

Mate you can be assured our mutual dealership is VERY customer focused and the DP is looking after his Mustang customers. As long as you have a signed "Contract to buy a motor vehicle" your order has been placed. Go say hi to him and ensure he knows who you are :) Feel free to mention my name :D

I wouldn't trust the media. I ordered my on 1 SEP 15 and have been given an expected delivery date of 30 NOV 16. Dealer said it may came forward a little, but won't know until the new year.

Agree. I thought I wouldn't mind them.. I was wrong. Very wrong
I think they look nice on our DIB though, but I will still be going down the vinyl wrap method from the anchor room
