Build Week - 09/28/15

I'm so bummed I couldn't bring my GT home today. I did sit in it and start her up, opened the hood and admired the beautiful sound of the coyote. The cabin is so quiet at idle I couldn't believe it. With the windows down it sounded beautiful! The redline interior is gorgeous and I am so happy I choose to go with them. I usually hate red interiors but this is so tastefully done and it gives it a sporty yet elegant feel. I really like the turn signals in the hood vents. The rear glass is slightly lower on the driver side but it's acceptable and only noticeable if you know to look for it. The trunk is night and day to my 15 but is still slightly off, again it's acceptable and it's off by very little, totally within tolerance. The trunk closes with ease. Rear fenders are also a huge improvement from my 15 but still not perfect and probably won't be until a model refresh. The hood is also night and day from my 15, as are the bumper and headlights. I'm really disappointed that the passenger door has paint rubbed off down to the primer right along the edge from rubbing the fender. The shop manager says it's an easy fix, he has to move the fender forward and he said because of where the paint rubbed of it's easy to fix and it won't be noticeable. I really can't wait to go back to drive it home .

Which exterior color did you get again? I ordered Red Line on faith, with Magnetic, but haven't actually seen Red Line in person. I hope it's as good as everyone says! (I'm at 20+ weeks since my order...)

I just spoke with my dealer, they said.they cannot sell us the cars unless the fixes are in place. However, they said they might be able to lock in the BF deal considering how patient I have been. They also said that there is a chance the black friday deals will go until first part of December. They are suppose to find out later today. I will update you guys.

I picked up my GT!!!!!!! I can't believe how much different it feels compared to the EcoBoost. The clutch is night and day but I still feel like the engagement point is too high. Shifts feel so much smoother than the Eco too. Holy shit it's fast, no shortage of power! I smiled the whole way home and can't stop smiling! The repair is perfect and I shined a flashlight up close where I know it was rubbed off and can't see it.

No pictures tonight, it's raining so I will post pics tomorrow.

Thank you! I'm not posting pictures until after the detailer does a minor paint correction and CQuartz coating. Dropping her off Monday at 5 and I will pick her up Wednesday at 5.

I hope everyone gets their cars sooner than what Ford estimated, it's truly worth the wait! Once you get in and drive you forget all about the torture of the wait.
