I don't know part numbers but this is from the recall notice:

Remedy Program: OWNERS WILL BE NOTIFIED BY MAIL AND INSTRUCTED TO TAKE THEIR VEHICLE TO A FORD OR LINCOLN DEALER TO HAVE THE FOLLOWING REPLACED: LEFT-HAND (LH) AND RIGHT-HAND (RH) FRONT SEAT BELT RETRACTORS AND PRETENSIONERS, LH AND RH REAR SEAT BELT RETRACTORS, LH AND RH REAR SEAT BELT BUCKLES, AND LH AND RH REAR CHILD SAFETY SEAT TETHER ANCHORS.

Thanks Oxford. I have forwarded that to the dealer. I don't think that the dealer even knows if Ford will allow them to do the swap but I guess we'll find out. The saga continues. :headbonk::frusty::headbonk:

Deysha messaged me a few moments ago and said that mine is still on hold. Maybe a safety team really is inspecting and releasing as they go.

Norton, if your dealer will tell you, I'd be interested in knowing what kind of effort it is to replace those parts. Like, how much of the interior do they have to take apart to get to everything that needs to be replaced?

If I end up waiting for the car I ordered I don't want to deal with a bunch of extra hassle because they damaged the interior when replacing everything so I'm starting to feel like I no longer want the car I ordered at all.

My salesman told me that the "hold" fixed the seatbelt issue. He's telling me that a weekend pickup is ready. I hope I don't sign the papers and then find out I can't take it home. I guess I just have to take his word.

Check your vin on etis. It will tell you if it is under recall. I saw the ford directive to not sell or even let people test drive the cars until they are fixed for this seat belt issue. The directive states that instructions and parts will arrive at the dealer on or before 11/30. Ford will fine dealers if they violate the directive.

I just want a mustang and don't care about my seat belts. The fines are their problem.

At $7000 a piece for the fines, they aren't going to risk it. I hear ya.

Hmm, mine might get fined then, still shows recall on etis and owner website. Took it home Saturday, no way I'm taking it back, until they have the parts... lol

Yeah, I've kind of accepted I'm not getting this car for awhile. Everybody keeps asking me why it hasn't come in. They freak out when I say it's at the dealership, but I can't pick it up for another month. It even seems stupid typing it.
