How to stay in Bluetooth mode

But the Media button needs to be hit multiple times (and not always the name number of times), and it starts out playing something you don't want to listen to, or at least that was how it was for me. With this, you just turn your radio on (always the same button in the same location) and you're in the right mode.

Weird. With mine, about 80% of the time when I start the car it starts playing on an FM station.

When I hit the "Media" button on the dash I have to scroll through a semi-random number of options.

However, when I hit the "M" button on the steering wheel after firing up the car it then goes to Bluetooth straightaway.

It's imperfect -- I mean, goddamit, why can't I just auto-select the last input, as I never (okay, maybe 1-2% of the time) use anything other than BT -- but it's better than nothing.

My friend at work has the same issue with his 2011 F150, so I wouldn't hold your breath for a fix. Bluetooth has been around for a long time, but few car manufacturers have put any significant effort into making their cars work with it seamlessly.

I have got to remember to do this routine. This is one of my major major grievances with the base sync system, aside from it sometimes just not even realizing anything is connected when it is...

By the way, it seems to work as long as you turn the radio off before you open the door to leave. It doesn't have to be strictly before you turn the engine off.

It's highly dependant on your phone's hardware and software. Some auto connect quickly while others are slower. Still others connect quickly sometimes and slowly others. This is the case with mine.

I have a better workaround... copy all your music to a micro-mini USB drive, install, and forget BT. I did and I couldn't be happier. Works like a dream.
