What do you think about your S550 after the new car smell is gone? Mine; it's been a dependable daily driver. No mechanical problems or rattles and just one recall item. I have one rock chip in windshield, front end paint is hammered with nicks and chips(Ford paint quality could be better). I would have protected the front end if I had it to do all over again. I still hand wash her a couple times a week, park a mile away from everybody (no door dings!) and stare at those beautiful lines.

Appreciate the input.

My car will be going directly to a 3M dealer following delivery.

A mate of mine just took delivery of a hyper blue STi and had his car towed from the dealer to 3M - wasn't prepared to risk the 20km drive!

I have 7k miles on my GTPP. It has been a flawless performer.

I drove it home 1000 miles over 2 days from PA to GA after it arrived from my custom order. Half of the 7k miles have come on 4 trips. I only have 2 tiny chips in the paint. I of course have a bra for the front and used painters tape for my 1000 mile drive home.

I would buy this car, again and again and again. I have zero creaks or rattles, even after running my upgraded Steeda suspension for 5 months.

This car turns heads no matter where I go. Even living in a small town in N. GA, I still get people (both male and females) coming up to me at the local gas station asking questions about the car, commenting how great the car looks, etc.

Sync sucks.

Everything else is pretty awesome.

It is fantastic in the track, plenty for someone of my skill level, but feels underpowered when many high HP cars just pull away on the straights even though it can corner better.

Today it has been exactly 1 year of ownership! Besides the rattles and panel missalignments the car stood up pretty good. Mechanically perfect! Little bit over 10,000 miles on the odo and a DD. Drove the car in midwest winter last season. It doesn't like cold, the interior starts even rattling more due to plastics and metal shrinking with cold and expanding with the heater on but still in one piece. Drives very well on snow and ice with Blizzacks. So far so good.

31st of this month will be 1 year for me, but it's close enough. 5,200 miles on her and I'm still completely in love. Haven't had a single issue with the car; Sync has been fine, no strange noises or causes for concern. Definitely the nicest Mustang I have owned. Not a DD, but I don't think it would have any issues even if it was.

I will say though, as I'm getting more use to the car, I'm also getting that inevitable need for more power.

Nice. The bolded part is a pretty significant statement - makes me feel extra good about my [in process] purchase.

Side note: this is my first Mustang (and Ford!), and while I was aware of Steeda as an aftermarket parts supplier, I had no idea they were in my neck of the woods. I see a road trip in my future. :D

Glad some of you don't have rattles. The panel on the drivers side of the dash under the A/C vent drives me insane! I pull out on it a little and it stops for a short time. I'm about to rip it off and chuck it out the window one of these days... Mine isn't a daily and only has 3600 on it but only had it since April '15

I have had 11 Mustangs. 10 V8's and 1 turbo 4 cyl (1985.5 SVO). This one is by far the best, EVER. Ford truly hit it out of the park with this thing. The style of the body is just perfect in my eyes. Every day I walk into my garage and see it sitting there, it just brings a big smile to my face.

The brakes are amazing on the GTPP. With my aftermarket suspension mods (Steeda), the handling and control of the car goes up 2-3 levels over stock. My fit and finish is about perfect. You will truly love your car.

I'm one year and 7 days into owning the car and I could not be happier. Its about to hit 12k miles. I have driven the piss out of the car since its my daily car has been phenomenal to me, no issues and I have modded it quite a bit. I do have one paint chip in the front bumper that bothers me everyday, but not much I can do there.

I didn't experience this. Same location. Also DD. Do you garage the car?
