...................Other cosmetic modifications arent made to look like they suck in air
have you seen the roush parts in person? really honestly nothing looks like they suck in air. there is a solid piece of plastic there that obviously screams NO AIR IS GOING IN HERE.

so cervini, mmd scoops are rice too then? they have giant opening with nothing blocking it. what about louvers?

don't be a smart ass you know what I meant....and that certainly isn't a race car because you put a front lip and a ricer wing on it.
I really didn't but now I do.

True you can't assume that he does race but technically even if he doesn't he still added functional parts to his car as opposed to bolt on exterior crap that does nothing. If it is functional I would say it doesn't count as ricer even if the driver doesn't use it. Taking a performance car and adding to its true performance is acceptable. The pic of the body kit blue/gray S197 posted above is how to rice a mustang.

And the perception award goes to...
Fair enough but I've read enough comments on here from (sadly) fellow mustang owners that have made me die a little on the inside. :D

I think the roush side scoops definitely fall into the rice category.

concur. anything nonfunctional that has the 'appearance' of functional is a bit silly.

Tint looks and acts like tint
wheels look and work like wheels
Lights look and function like lights
graphics look like graphics
lowering springs make the car lower

.........fake scoops look like something they are not and dont do anything
This is BS...stripes that look like stripes? Tint acting like tint? Your "wheel" bands around your wheels? Don't tell me you put them on to protect you from curbing your rims. Not all cosmetic mods are ricey. listen, everyone is going to have their own opinion on this, but I just can't stand that mindset that if it doesn't increase performance than its "ricey". If that was the case our cars would all look the same at shows and meets and there would be absolutely no individuality amongst our rides.
