Depends on your area.

Also, not all radar detectors are created equal. Honestly if you're in the market for one, don't bother with one that's less than $200. There's more to it than that, but your cheapo radar detectors are garbage and give you little to no advance warning. Plus, they'll go bonkers when a car with adaptive cruise control gets near you.

I've got a Escort Passport Max 2, and it gives me advance warning miles ahead. I'm not a crazy speeder, but I know I would be singled out if I were in a group of cars speeding.
Most cops in my area are still on Ka band radar. My escort 9500 gives me miles of warning IF the partol vehicle's radar is on. The best approach to avoid tickets is to drive the speed limit. However, that is easier said than done in modern vehicles where 80mph feels like 50.

they're still legal here just no one uses them. I don't even recall seeing them for sale in stores. I thought lazer guns in today's world defeats purpose of radar
thats why you buy laser defense system like stir-plus :)

You are 100% correct. It doesn't matter how expensive the detector, with laser as soon as it goes off they already have your speed. I view radar detectors as a false sense of security. All they are good for now is letting you know you are about to receive a ticket. Sure it may save you from the officers that still use radar, but as soon as you get comfortable thinking you are safe someone will hit you with laser. The officers I know are a lot less lenient on cars with detectors as they view them as habitual speeders. A cheaper and better solution is to just drive within the speed limit (+/- 5 to 10mph) instead of like an asshole.
wrong.

The 2015 thread is about as long as Tolkien's "Lord of the Rings"!

That is all...

Got Ruby cleaned up and took a few pics to show the new set up.

Steeda progressive springs were installed Wednesday. The Velgens and Bridgestone Potenzas went on a week ago.

The pics of the right rear quarter panel and the rear bumper, both of which were recently replaced, show what a great job Berli's Body and Fine Auto Finishes did.

Hah! I knew you guys would pick up on that. Not to worry. Took the pics at a local school and today's Saturday. So no one else was there.
