Its actually extremely capable in the handling department and puts down some impressive times at the track even with the solid rear axle.I don't like the GT500. its not a handling car. Its nose heavy. And I want an irs and I like the s550 and the magneride.
the last GT500s had cai from the factory too and ppl still got better ones. But good advice, I will think on it for a while. That's exactly what I was thinking but im on the fence. But if I did add one I would move the battery to the trunk which should even it out. All good points guys keep em coming. I value your opinions. I would like to see one supercharged but I will at least wait a while but keep the money on reserve.GT350 already has a "CAI" from the factory. No point in getting one IMO.
I'd definitely live with the car for a year and see what you think of it before trying to add a S/C. IMO a S/C changes the character of the car, and not in a good way. It also adds weight in the worst possible place. If you really want more performance, going to a shorter rear gear might be nice, since the stock gearing is pretty tall due to the high redline.

What do you think happens if you put a blower on the Voodoo engine? The weight from the housing, compressors, the intercooler, the pullies, mounting assembly, hardware, extra cooling, and plumbing magically negates itself? No, the Trinity is far from light, it's actually very heavy despite being all aluminum. But concept of nose heavy still remains if you put a blower on the car. Figure another 60+ lbs on the nose plus coolant.I don't like the GT500. its not a handling car. Its nose heavy.
I guess my question is what are you going to do with the car? If you are going to drag it then the 500 makes more sense and who cares about the IRS.I don't like the GT500. its not a handling car. Its nose heavy. And I want an irs and I like the s550 and the magneride.
Totally this. What a way to ruin an excellent car. It'd be as bad as modding a ferrari. Not to mention that a stock Gt350 is 100 times more car than anyone on this forum can handle. Until they can run Pobst's time, people may want to spend time and money in improving the driver instead [emoji3]Exactly.
Please do not destroy an engineering masterpiece.
Now that I know there are blower kits available I would highly recommend anybody buying 2nd hand down the road make sure their 5.2 engine has never been subjected to this garbage.

well first that is 50k plus a gt which is like 80k. second its ugly. third it barely drops any time with all that power it ran a 12.3 with motor trend i believe. Why don't you just send a 2015 or 16 basic GT of your choice of color and interior options to Shelby American (SAI) in Las Vegas and have them convert it to a 750+HP supercharged Super Snake? With upgraded blower, drive train and suspension upgrade, track handling package & brakes, Bola exhaust, carbon fiber light weight panels, premium leather (if you send a car with fabric Recaros they will turn them into leather Recaros), and 20" welded wheels, etc., the bill (for conversion) will come out to $50 - $60K. What you get will be a properly set up "real" Shelby done by SAI via the traditional post-title route, not a Ford Mustang SVT Shelby that over-zealous die-hards take pride thumbing their noses at. Did I say it will be 50 states emission legal too?

I read it from somewhere that SAI did not consider supercharging the Voodoo because it is not the right engine for it. In the absence of a Coyote Shelby with IRS, they are offering the conversion to 2015 -16 GT's. They can convert coupes, convertibles, both manual and automatic (they told me that the GT automatic can handle 900HP no problem.)
They are only offering 300 spaces for the conversion. As of a month ago they were more than half gone.
i do alright lol. im not a professional though. the car will be mostly driven on the street and sometimes at track events if im ever not on the road flying all over the world. im pretty convinced that i shouldnt SC it but im sure there will be plenty out therethat do.Great point - lets all start talking about the driver mod.
OP how is your heel/toe shifting?
Apples and Oranges.i wonder if anybody actually knows that in its second year 66 they offered the gt350 supercharged as a package from the factory.
