So based on a few sources of RW driving, it looks like:
- Ecoboost ~7-11 l/100km
- V8 - 12-20 (20 - lol) :)

I was expecting the EB to be a bit better tbh!

Decided to drive easy today, 35 kms 50/50 Autobahn (not exceeding 130kph) and Frankfurt city traffic (at lunchtime so not bad) 7.5 l/100 kms.

I am Impressed by this car

I can't get that low l\100 km even with car off :ninja:
Really, I drive without even touching the gas pedal.. no acceleration, no rush, nothing.. and nothing better than 11 km\l, sometimes 10,5 too.

Maybe your engine isn't broken in properly yet?

Edit: 10.5 to 11 km/l is better than what I have seen sofar. (= 9 to 9.5 l/100km)

Thanks for all the responses everyone!

It looks like the European market is full of Ecoboosts, something I'm not surprised at considering fuel prices and new vehicle price as well.

I think I'm still going for the V8 just because I'm counting on this car being my first and last "big boy toy" in a sense. Tesla should have it's affordable car out by the time the car is paid for so then I'll be more "economical" by the time the Model 3 is out hehe.

That savings between the V8 and EB doh! :frusty:

Maybe it's the Cobb tune? Stock I noticed it was really rich all the time, like 13 to 1 air/fuel cruising and like 10.5-11 at full throttle. With the Cobb stage 1 93 tune it is 14-14.3 cruising and 11.5 - 12 on full throttle. Also I noticed the economy got slightly better with my MAP intercooler  I wouldn't have thought it but it does.

Finally I have 3.31 gears, I think all the Euro specs are 3.55 ?

Actually, the GT has outsold the EB in Europe....but some countries have silly taxes, like Holland, Belgium, iItaly and Norway to name few, where the GT would be a killer tax wise.

My EB manual fastback has 3.31 gears as well. Perhaps the fact that I am running on EURO95 at the moment makes a difference too. Perhaps I should fill her up with EURO98 and see if it makes a difference.

You forgot us......despite the normal selling price 50,000 eur, it needs over 5000eur for taxes anually!

Thanks god for http://mpg.webix.co.uk/
all these 10l/100km, 7l/100km, etc make no sense to us brits
To convert l/100 km to us mpg you just devide 236 by the number so 10 l/100 km is ~ 23.6 mpg. Be its have bigger gallons so that number becomes 282 so 10 l/100km = 28.2 mpg (imp) simples:cheers:
