Oh and the replacement gas tank was $700. I didn't really have any bargaining power or chance to shop around since I was stuck there :headbonk:

Pulled the trigger on my new black mamba hood from BMC Extreme Customs (ordered thru stage3motorsports since my order I placed for my Cobb CAI was pushed out several weeks!).

how about more pix of the entire car?...what size of wheels and tires?...and what brand of the wheels?

This is just a sample pic showing the hood I bought. Beautiful car, but mine is Ingot Silver and patiently awaiting it's new hood!

Looks good, SlowRed. Beautiful Mustang.

I'm getting my Steed progressives installed Wednesday.

A few questions -

Did you install the springs yourself; or did you have a shop do the work? Just curious how long it takes a professional shop to install them. My shop is telling me 4 to 5 hours, but I can't imagine it will take them that long. The shop I'm using is a performance shop and I've heard good things about them.

Did you have the alignment checked after the install to make sure everything is dialed in correctly? If so, was it off by much?

How's the handling and ride quality? Have you driven her enough to notice much difference?

Thanks for any info you can pass on.

If you're mechanically inclined and have the right tools, it will take about 2 hours. CJ Pony has a good install video on YouTube, also. I just put on Eibachs, but springs are springs. Hardest part was the rears, but I through in the Steeda subframe alignment bushings, so i had to fully drop each side to get them in. Alignment should be done a week or two later after they fully settle in. Can't verify the Steeda Springs, but the Eibachs feel better, already. :)

Thanks, Rob. Yeah, I saw that CJ Pony Parts video.

I think the shop told me 4 to 5 hours just to cover their bases in case something comes up.

The shop is in south Austin and I work a little north of downtown. So I'd like to wait while they're installing the springs. But not half a day. :frusty:

No problem. If they are quoting that, I'd have to say it's include time to get set up, do the job, test drive, and alignment. And to give the tech some slack time, too. I'd ask them to hold off on the alignment or you could end up needing a 2nd alignment a couple hundred miles later.

Swapped out my x-pipe today. The FRPP by Borla X Pipe I've had since january had a crack in it, it was causing a ruckus at cold startup and it sounded like a bad pulley squeaking.

Check out the difference between the old one and the one that borla sent me as a warranty replacement.
