I just got a new job with a very long commute. Thinking about letting my baby go. Does anyone have any idea how much one can expect in depreciation? Has anyone had their car appraised or sold? My car is a 2015 Mustang GT Premium Performance Package with Nav and reverse sensors. Only 4700 miles. No part of me wants to let her go especially if I have to take a huge hit on depreciation.

My commute is about the same. Gas prices are low now but in Cali they could be at $4+ per gallon next week. I have to fill up 2-3 times per week.

I am wondering if KBB is accurate or if anyone has done better than KBB in trade, carmax, etc.

I could get 34 MPG out of my near 300 hp Honda Accord due to cylinder shut down. I see no reason why Ford cant do this even on the Mustang. I doubt there is any one here that would mind their Mustang kicking off 4 cylinders when they are on a long trip rolling down the freeway with cruise on. Would it be worth say 30 mpg to you with no effect on street performance when you want to have fun running around town? Basically kicked in when cruise is set?

My last Hemi Charger had this, shut down to 4 cyl when cruising aka "Fuel saver mode". I would get about 24-25mpg under the right conditions when on the hwy. There was deff a slight performance lag though when you needed full power and the computer was kicking out of this mode back into regular (cruising then all of a sudden WOT).

I'd recommend buying a cheap 4 cylinder car on Craig's list that can get you at least 25-30 mpg. You can find a lot; that's that I did bought one for 1100 and I save gas that way

I have a 62 mile round trip commute. I get 20 MPG average for my tank with my commute and personal use.

My only gripe is I have to fill up every 4 days, I used to get 7 days with my SHO.

As far as depreciation. if you paid $38k for your car, you will be lucky to get $30k selling or trading it in.

Selling or trading in a 1 year old car is a huge hit no matter how you look at it.

I actually get 34 mpg on my 2004 Honda Civic LX that I use as my commuter while the Stanger sits in the garage :)

Well worth < $5000, lots of people have more then that in mods alone around here. This is the best mod I have made :)
