Navigation system

Had my car for a week now and just tried the sat nav. I have noticed that some streets that are five years old are not in the map. Also - the voice is in english only. Anyone else experienced this? Is there a new map on the way?

In North America, the latest map data has streets less than 9 months old.

Well, it's on a SD Card. Can't just your Ford dealer flash new maps for you? There must be an update or something, I'm gonna definitely ask my dealer about that since I need correct and recent maps.

These are Nokia Here maps, however the version we have is the latest available for Europe (F4). When a new version will be available (I bet it would be called F5) you will find tons on ebay

I had those on my mercedes also, they are always slow.

No matter where you are in Europe we all have the same EU map sd card. I noticed a lot of missing places and/or rebuild roads etc. that are not up to date yet on the map. So far it still does know most speed cam positions though ;)

Speed camera positions....dont think they are shown at all?! I certainly did not see any.... :shrug:

No they are not showing on the map, but navi says "ATTENTION!" when approaching one, without any visual warning

OK, not on mine. Perhaps this has been disabled in Germany due to laws on speed camera detectors? addle:

You have to set the voice button on, and maybe but I'm not sure activate points of interest/warnings etc. The very first time I used the nav I didn't get these warnings either. That was before everything was configured by the dealer.

something I found really funny is when you run out of fuel, then the navigation system shows you on the map all available/near gas stations xD ahaha it was so funny when I saw the map full of BP, Shell icons and so on... ahahah xD

Funny indeed ;) what I still don't know though is if you run out is there a reserve like on most cars or is it like it says 40km till empty is really empty?
