I recently purchased a Ngauge and tune for my setup in my sig. I successfully data logged the usual parameters and submitted them to Lund's website. For those of you that have done this, did I have to include my actual tune file too? I bought the Ngauge and tune from Team Beefcake so does Lund know what tune I have already?

did you get the instructions from Lund in terms of how they want you to log?

In case you didn't - all in one log file:
- > 2minutes at idle
- > 2 minutes normal driving
- 3 wot pulls in 3rd from about 2,500rpm to 7,000rpm

I have the Lund tune with nGauge. those instructions were never passed along to me.
I have done many pulls since I got the tune, today when I went into the ngauge, I really didn't see anything that looked like a log file. the "log" folder was empty...
the guage acted like it was reading/writing as I drove it.
ideas?

I don't have an nguage myself, assuming you actually turned logging before doing the pulls, I'm not sure.

I have the sct so I had to ask Lund specifically what parameters to use - that is when Jon gave me the logging instructions.

Please don't take what I say as a smartbutt,
1. Did you have the micro SD card in the nGAUGE?
2. Did you tap the top off the screen when data was showing? This starts the recording then tap again to stop recording.
The logs should be in the log folder if you did the first two things.

Card is in for sure, that's how the tune was loaded.
I did click the check to start and the X to stop. Lights flash as if it is recording.
I'm at a loss

I know sometimes my finger doesn't tap right, when it does start recording and you tap to turn off it says OFF. I can't remember what it says when it's recording. I'd try it again and see if you get the OFF sign on the second tap. You can just do idle test to see if that does it.

With the car running, on the main screen you will *push* diagnostics, then data logging. You will then (2) choices of data logging parameters (default is good), *push* checkmark. At the top of the next screen, you will see "connecting". It will state this for 4-5 seconds. Then you will see all the parameters that are going to be logged in real time. *push* the text at the top of the screen to start data logging, tap again to stop recording.

Just to add one thing to this - once it is logging it will display the filename at the top of the display; "log00xx.csv" (or something close to that). That's the cue I look for to know it's actually logging.

Thanks guys, didn't mean to high jack the OP. I'll take another look.
That's what we're all here for to assist and ask for assistance. Not one of us is as smart as all of us.

I must have done it right because I got a response back from Lund today. Everything looked good so they said to go ahead and submit a WOT data log. I went out tonight and found a good spot for a 3rd gear run. Started at 20 mph and topped out at around 75mph lol!!!

For whatever reason, the tune they gave me is rev limited to 5500rpm:doh:. That should be a funny looking data log. I just held it to the floor for a couple more seconds so they could see what is happening. Hopefully its a simple fix.
I'm sure they'll have you fixed in a jiffy

The 5500rpm rev limiter was totally me:doh: Because the Roush intake and header combo is somewhat new, Lund sent the 1st tune to me on the conservative side. After they told me it looked great and I was now able to do a WOT log for them, they had sent me a new tune with a raised rev limiter...but I neglected to read that part LOL!

All I can say is Jon II is awesome. My car pulls like a freight train. Sooooooo much better than stock. Nice linear power. I have a possible false knock to trace down at about 6k rpm and up. I had some exhaust clamps pretty close to the floor board so I rotated them. Will re-log tomorrow. Maybe try some Torco if I get the same results. I've been running 93 octane since owning the car so I shouldn't be worried about mixing lower octane. Probably should get an oil separator too.
