My car just got named.

First off, let me say that I'm not one that has ever named my cars. I'm just not into putting names onto cars since the manufacturer already did it for me. But I had the county building inspector come by to do an inspection on my new gas lines. Just to give you a visual, he was a 60 something black guy wearing a ball cap and suspenders. Kind of reminded me of my dad at that age. We'll, other than him being a black guy. First thing out of his mouth was "Who's purple monster is that in the driveway?"
I confessed it was mine and told him if he likes Mustangs I'll take him into the garage before he leaves. Quick check of the gas line work, and off to the driveway and garage we went. He went nuts over the '15. Took him in the garage and showed him my '66 GT Fastback. You could see the look on his face he just got taken back in time. Come to find out, he was an old gearhead from way back that owned an old GTX with a 440.
'66 has been sitting since April because I've been very busy with the kitchen remodel, but he asked me if he could hear it run. After sitting 4 months, it fired right up
I think I made his day, and I know he made mine since I passed the inspection and I can now call my '15 "The Purple Monster"!

That's way cool, Scott. I always enjoy running into folks who share an interest in Mustangs or performance cars in general.

My Harley was Pearl White. I called her Pearl. Yeah, I call my Mustang Ruby.

Yep I owned a 2009 Aveo , Korean Designed and slapped together here Cash for clunkers trade down in a Blue Moon color and IT would look a bit different at night and at certain angles ..Easter egg my coworkers called IT ..I did not care .

I think it was the rarest color of all of them I 've seen todate .

How about calling IT ,,,,IT .

That's a good story. It more interesting when the name comes to the car. I had an Electric Blue SRT-4 about 10 years ago. I also had a buddy that was really into cars like I was only his car of choice was BMW m3s. We went to the drag strip one night. He had never seen my car run before. I beat a Zo6 Corvette and a pulley Cobra. After that. Every time he seen the car he called it the little blue beast and the name stuck. My 2015 Mustangs name is simple. It has my wifes first name on the license plate. So when ever anyone sees the car. They say Jelena sure is pretty.

I haven't named my Mustang yet, but my last car - a white four door GTI - was dubbed "the salt lick" after being molested by the tongues of a herd of cows while I was hiking one day. They didn't miss an inch.
