Don't see any pics of this up yet. People who have changed the color of their gills changed their whole headlight unit through the lighting firm and such. Cost about $1000....

Anyone change just the color of the gills? Am I right to assume it won't look as good if you change just the gill color since it won't match the headlight "eye" color?

The Lighting Firm uses our RGBW and RGBWA boards in their builds. It's an OEM quality component that we are proud to be manufacturing here in St. Louis

There's a few members on the forum who have them installed, including us (on our 2015). Pictures with them installed will be added to the site listing soon

In addition to having all the colors, they feature a built in white LED which is brighter and a more crisp white than the factory DRLs. The RGBWA version has an amber-turn signal that blinks sequentially when you hit the turn signals

Here's the installation video:

Professional installation is highly recommend

Hey Nick. Will you be making something to change the headlight color? Not sure if an RGB xenon bulb exists lol.

Hey guys great product! Do you have ideas if your Tribars will be working on the EU Model as we are not having any leds in stock? (So maybe there is no control unit etc?)

if you informed me shortly, i would transfer the info to our german community.

Thanks a lot!

cost was only around $550 for me installed and with all the labor via a local guy and parts.

Labor was that much on top of the lights themselves?! Jesus. I might just do it myself as planned originally. Just going to have to dedicate an afternoon before SEMA I guess...

Yeah wait..thought these were mostly plug and play. Even charging $100 an hour if took 3 hours to put these in? That's a bit more than I can justify.

Looks good though. The thing I'm worried about is, do they clash with your headlights at night since they're white? Have any pictures of them both on? Or do you just change the color back to white to match the headlights.

I change them to white with the headlights sometimes. they don't clash in person when they are red, but in pictures you can't see the red seperately very well because the lights will drown out everything.

They are replacement PCB boards that we manufacture here in St. Louis. It will still require you to open up the housings, but they fit perfectly in place of the factory boards.

what are you guys talking about???

i said 550 included EVERYTHING and i was slightly wrong, I only paid 510 not 550.

160 for diode for the boards, 350$ for him to remove the front bumper, cut open the headlights, sand and prep the headlight, paint the headlight housing black, reassemble and seal, leak test, custom wiring so that they can come on as regular running lights or be on while the car is off.

pretty good value IMO for the time he spent on it.

Regular running lights? I thought your gills are already always on as DRL.

yes but diode dynamics recommends just running them with a switch that controls them full time(always have to manually turn them on when in the car and then off before leaving the car), or at least they did when I bought one of the first consumer sets.

i had them wired so they just come on when the car is on like normal, with the added function of leaving them on when the car is off.

The RGBWA version has an amber-turn signal that blinks sequentially when you hit the turn signals
Thanks for that useful information.
For me that sounds very interesting, it's exactly the thing I've been looking for.

Is there a video showing this new function ?
Is there a version that easily connects to the european model wire harness ?

(EU model has different HID lamps with only 25W - US version has full 35W- , the tribars are not self-functional and the headlight units have a different wiring)

Having asked this I remember that rear sequential turn signals that meet the sucking german rules (turn signals have to be amber and rear lights, fog lights and brake lights must still be able to show up in red at the same time) are also a point of interest.
The solution should be to display the amber sequential turn lights in the upper half of the three rear light bars and the other lights in red only when needed in the lower half of the three rear bars.

I know that a majority of european mustang enthusiasts (at least the ones that are active in internet forums) will like to have that implemented. Is there a possibility to get a plug-in solution from your company, Nick ?
