How easy is the installation? Is there a guide anywhere? How much risk is involved, like can I permanently damage or by cause of action spend more money repairing possible damage? Spent too much money last time paying someone else to do a job I could've done with just a little bit of knowledge.

If you are concerned about opening up the housings, I suggest speaking with one of our authorized dealers for a quote. Retroshop, for example, has installed several sets and can paint match them for you.

Nothing "needs" to be paint matched, but it looks awesome and you might as well do it when you have the headlights opened up.

Retroshop painted our housings gloss black and they turned out spectacular:
