This... is.... beautiful! Seen this one post and now I'm considering ordering one.

The frame that the dealership put on has a little clip on the frame that allows the license plate to slide in it, so the license plate and the frame is always tight together.

However, I ordered one of those cheap "Ford Mustang" license plates, and it's nothing but pretty much a cover in front of the license plate. Tried putting the frame and plate on today and the license plate was clearly "separate" from the frame since the bottom of the frame was poking out a little while the license plate was flat against the bumper.

Any idea if this is the case with these carbon fiber plates here? Not sure if some of you guys just screw in 2 more holes to pin the bottom of the plate down, or if they stick out like mine did today.

Here's mine, finally thought of taking a quick pic this morning
Love it, cause it really holds the plate in it vs just covering it and pushing it into the bumper scratching it, and it came with the nice black screw covers. Love it !

I agree with many, this one is a very nice piece!

I have a clear cover over the plate, which is illegal, even though I don't know why. I can see the smoked covers being illegal, but the clear ones?

Anyway... I think it looks good, but it really stands out!

Think chrome would be better? Or keep the black?

I'm leaning toward changing it to chrome... but I like to hear all opinions.

Aren't they illegal because they can scatter the radar or laser when the cops try and ding you? That was my understanding on why front plates are required in some places too. I was under the impression that there isn't a lot of flat/reflective places on cars nowadays and so that is a partial solution to making sure they get good speed readings.

Definitely going with this one on my race red. Anyone happen to have seen this one with a red pony instead of the silver?? I currently have a black frame with the red mustang script and pony on my red 06.
