I'm going to build my car and I'm wondering if 401A is really worth almost $2k?

I like it, I would imagine 70% of everyone on here would agree, the sub was a big thing along w the leather for me that is.

Yes, but depends on what you want. You get BLIS, Memory seat, upgraded speakers and sub, and HD radio (don't know how much this is worth).

Is it worth it to you? I could tell you that premium isn't worth the money over base. Why? Because I don't care for leather. None of us know you and you don't know any of us, so how can we tell you?

Your car, build it to your fancy. Just whatever you do drive it like it was meant to be =)

Was worth it to me. I am done with after market audio for my cars so I like getting the best I can from the factory.

The BLIS is very useful (I had an alert from it when backing out from between two SUVs that kept me from backing in front of a kid doing 30 through a parking lot in an old civic) and I didn't care about the memory seats but I actually use it pretty frequently.

(Also you probably aren't actually going to pay $1800 for the package unless you are paying sticker for the car...for example when I purchased mine the 'internet price' was ~$950 more than the internet price of a 400A car with the same options otherwise.)

Is that your daily driver or what, Darren? Haha!

I'm gonna skip on the 401A. Waste of money to be honest. No one else drives my car, no need for memory seats. BLIS? I've been fine for years without it. Sub? Dead weight. HD Radio? Apple Music. Haha.

The stock stereo sucks and the 401 isn't much better

Save your money and get the performance pack

Didn't get it. Saw absolutely no reason to.

I had my first mustang for 3 months and it was equipped with the 400A package. I traded it in for an automatic and went ahead and stepped up for the 401A. The stereo sounds 10x better (my opinion), the other items just make it that much more capable of a daily driver. For me, it was well worth the extra money.

I care about infotainment
If I could have afforded it alongside the PP I would have gotten it, but alas I had to choose one or the other. Part of me wonders if I made the right choice though.
