The new ROUSH Stage 3 comes stock with 670HP, there will be phase upgrades that will push you close to 800HP. Stages 3 is mid to upper 60's and the phase upgrades are less than 4k. The only way someone would pass you is if you allowed them to. :first:

Eh, I get the idea that some people would want a car already "modified" for them...but I'd rather just buy a GT350 or a GT and mod the hell out of it for less money.

Also, does Roush have performance figures for their cars? Not just 0.60 Mph or 1/4 mile, but actually track times compared to stock. Handling G's, etc...

The good thing about the ROUSH is it comes with warranty where as you mod a regular GT then your warranty could be voided. Also with ROUSH they are serialized cars with limited production, so when trade in time comes it will hold its value better than a moded GT. As for moding a GT350 I would not recommend that. I always encourage people when they buy these limited production cars to keep the integrity of the build intact, so if you decide to sell it at Barrett Jackson or somewhere it will bring more $$$ if you have a car that matches the build sheet. As for the specs Jack Jr done a lot of the track testing I have someone checking to see what info he has on the results.

Right, you pay more, but it's worth more later...I get that. Other companies (supercharger companies) also provide drivetrain warranties, though.

No mods for the GT350, I meant specifically the GT.

Like I said, I get the Roush angle from a convenience point of view, but not really from a performance/dollar point of view. I relate them to Saleen, Shelby America, etc...which isn't a negative at all, really.

I just find when Ford's performance division puts out a better product for cheaper, why wouldn't you buy it? By better, I mean performance wise and cost wise. Rarity, of course not.

The GT500 was the better choice to an almost identical priced RS3 (from the last generation). The GT350 this time around is cheaper and will wax an RS3 everywhere, save for the drag strip.

Anyway, I'd be curious to see what kind of times you can dig up. Or, depending on where you work in Roush, give a couple magazines an RS3 and let them play. Would be fun to see where/how it stacks up.

The big appeal for me is that the RS3 is available with an auto.......something neither the old GT500 nor the new GT350 have.

As a matter of fact they just finished a calibrations on the Auto Stage 3's took them a little while to finish that up. Also little known fact is that ROUSH and Ford Performance are almost one in the same, so much so they work in the same building together. I was over at ROUSH Yates engine shop a few weeks back and they had both the GT350R and the New Raptor engines they were doing some testing on. Of course I can neither confirm nor deny anything I saw or heard so DO NOT ASK!!!

Indeed, I think few people realise how close Ford and Roush are, and how much testing Roush do for Ford

When is Phase 2 and Phase 3 cars coming out? I heard in the fall sometime. I am very curious about that!
Any TQ numbers on those Phase 2 and Phase 3 upgrades?
