After switch back to stock from the MGW, I noticed it seems like the reverse lockout is loose. Anyone else have this issue? It's noticeable even going into some gears and annoying as hell.

Why'd you switch back?

Gonna keep it a weekend only car so I can keep the miles low and sell it. I'm looking for a project car

For those out there I figured out what it was thanks to watching the Barton install video it was the small white piece of plastic that fell off during my MGW installation. Luckily, it fell into the shifter compartment and has been there for a few months. Can't believe this small piece of plastic makes that big of a difference.

Mine is having the same rattle issues and found that this plastic piece wasn't where it was supposed to be so I fixed it and put it back together. Still has the rattle. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

I had this same issue, and boy let me tell you it's very annoying.

I fixed it by unscrewing the shift knob and then stuffing a very small piece of paper from a note card in between the metal stick and the reverse lock out. The paper completely stopped the rattling and all is good again.

I have the issue after swapping the stock shift knob and I was thinking about putting a thin piece of self adhesive felt on four points inside the shift knob to stop the rattle.

I don't yet have this issue -- I have a blowfish racing shifter support bracket to go on, so stuff will get messed with... I was thinking about the same thing before I read your post...
