It works but its not 100% accurate. The PCM calculates what it thinks boost is. It doesnt have a actual boost reading. Mine is 1-3 psi off from what the car showed on the dyno gauge when I got tuned.

I've seen on the form where some people say the 2015 PP don't have the gauge do you know if this is true ?

Are the ones in the dash on the EB cars mechanical?
Yes. There are other threads that talk about replacing the vacuum gauge for an Ecoboost vacuum/boost gauge. I would check them out if you're interested in going that route.

No they are not mechanical as in the boost is read by a vacuum source into the cabin. They are a sweep gauge but use the MAF to calculate the manifold pressure through a computation.

I wonder if anyone makes a mechanic gage that will fit into that spot. I really want a good boost gage but hate cluttering up my field of view by putting stuff on top of my dash or stuck to my wind shield. I like when stuff looks like it belongs in a certain spot.

I guess we can't get software one since we have a real gauge...

Some engineers actually had to program it differently just for PP cars :ford:

Anyone in this thread using a mechanical gage? If so what kind did you get, where did you mount it and how did you route the vacuum/boost line?

Im confused with OP post. Why would any of the GT have a boost Gauge to begin with? Is that picture from an EB?
