Looks like their starting to roll in now.

Roush now has up on their site two coilover set ups. One is height only adjustable and the other is height and dampening.

KW is now also avaiable on Tirerack. Veriant 1 and Veriant 3

BC is also available with our friend Hypermotive. Nice!

I wonder if the kw is a true coilover in the rear or just a height adjustable spring and shock like bc and roush.

Also says special order at tire rack. Wonder how long until they will arrive.

Check it out on Tirerack. The Veriant 1 is coilover front, spring perched cradle rear with seperate shock. Just like the Roush and BC/BR.

However the Verient 3 from KW is true front and rear coilover. It did say special order, but I think it said from Nevada.

Was there a description or just a picture? I saw pictures but not sure we can trust a marketing picture.

Said the same thing for me from Indiana.
They have warehouses in both places. But the kw parts are special order (not in warehouse). So I wonder where they come from and how long until they ship from that location.

"Race technology for the road with adjustable compression and rebound damping"

State-of-the-art motorsport technology for proven performance on the streets. The independently adjustable compression and rebound damping allows for custom driving set-ups. The exclusive KW patented system has dual-level valves to provide the adjustment of the rebound damping (comfort) and the compression damping (driving dynamics) in the low-speed range. High-speed settings for driving comfort are preset by KW engineers.

Independently adjustable damping technology (rebound and compression damping)
"inox-line" stainless steel technology*
Individual height adjustment
Infinitely adjustable rebound damping
14-level adjustable compression damping
Unique, independently functioning damping power adjustment
TĂśV-tested adjustment parameters
High-quality components for long life
Comprehensive documentation for ease of use
Based on vehicle specifications, the rebound damping is adjusted by a spindle at the end of the piston rod. Mainly, the traction phase (rebound) controls car body vibrations and influences handling and comfort in the low-speed damping range. By using the traction phase adjustment, the vehicle can be fine tuned to the requirements of the driver. Moreover, driving behavior can be regulated from comfortably rolling to sporty and tense with improved road holding characteristics.

The compression phase adjustment is carried out at the lower end of the shock absorber via KW's patented multi-purpose valve. The large number of pre-set parameters on this valve allow for a wide range of adjustment for individual use. The unique low-speed compression adjustment distinguishes this technology from any other. In this compression range, the driving behavior of the vehicle is drastically influenced. An increase of the damping power supports the vehicle already during compression and therefore avoids rolling and pitching. The directional stability is significantly improved.

The KW is most likely not a true coilover. I'll give them a call and see for sure.

I wouldn't worry if it isn't a true coilover out back as none of them are true coilovers up front either(Macpherson struts). KW offers excellent products the most appealing part being their durability and corrosion resistance. I drove an S197 convertible with a blower and that thing rode perfectly on it's KW V3 setup.

I just want a spring around the shock in the rear. I'm not crazy about the factory location of the spring.

Jay let us know what you find out. Along with availability.

I agree, I prefer that style. Ridetech and Cortex Racing are the only ones that I know of producing that style right now.

A few things to keep in mind is that the rear shock mount was never designed to have a spring there.

Also if you do run a true rear coilover it will not allow aggressive fitments.

I've had a few cars that had true Coilovers all around as well as seperate spring and shocks in the rear. The only downside to the seperate ones was that it was harder to adjust the ride height. But I found that once I set the ride height I was done with it.

Finally, external reservoirs is something anyone who tracks their car hard will want. The rear shocks are so short that once the car is lowered you lose quite a bit of travel.

KW rarely do.

The designs I've seen and used fit up to factory upper strut mounts. And the clevis bracket has a slotted hole for camber adjustment.

Found this in the notes for the v3:

02: Front height adjustable by threaded shock bodies. Rear height adjustable by adjustable spring perch.
67: Valving is adjusted by adjustment knobs, rebound is only adjustable if the top of the piston rod is accessible. This will depend on the design of the vehicle.

Not sure where the adjustable spring perch is located though.
