The car has no turbo charger yet. It will be upgraded with the turbo charger package. Another modification we do is the seats will be red with black inserts.

The factory window sticker says it is special order. Details from the window sticker:

2015 GT convertible premium
5.0L TI-VCT V8
M6 transmission
Roush RS2
3.55 Ration axle
Navi & dual A/C
Turbo charger will be installed later
Roush package

I am pretty sure some might get upset but here the story (will be long).
I ordered a 2015 Dodge Challenger HC last year September (already waiting for the ordering banks to open since May last year). Dealer informed me that my car arrived in December. When I went there to take it was it not to my order specs. The car had the wrong transmission so they did replace the order. Last week did I get informed that my order will be transfered over to a 2016 model and I have to pay the increase in MSRP from the 2015 model to the 2016 model. I canceled the order. This is not the first time they messed up and a long story.

At this time was I already looking for a different car. Through a search on the internet did I cross the Roush models and just went to check them out (not planing to buy one). Made a tesst drive with a Roush RS3 with 670 HP and fell in love. I love how the car lays on the road and takes corners.

I don't car if it is a standard model with upgrade packages. I got a V8 with manual transmission with a lot of HP under the hood which is a beast on the road to ride. It is a total fun car and I like the look of the car. It is my first convertible ever owned.

The base price for the Dodge Challenger Hellcat is close to $59k and than comes taxes and options. The hellcat I had on order was $68k and I actually get more car for lesser money.
I have never heard of a window sticker that says "turbo charger will be installed later" are you personally buying a kit and installing it?

Great ride! Glad it worked out for you in the end. These scummy dealers need to die out.

Ah, the Hellcat.
Now the crazy wait makes sense. At first I was worried you were talking about pretty much anything else. ;)

Again...congrats. Looks sweet :)

OP, I am sure you can explain as I don't know much about these things...
I see one of many Roush models here http://www.kengrodyford.com/New-2015-Ford-Mustang-ROUSH-Stage-2-Los-Angeles-CA/vd/25785146 but the price shown with the photos differs from the window sticker. But according to the VIN, it is the same car. Also there are no written details anywhere of the extras the Roush clearly shows vs the "regular" Mustang trims. (EDIT: I now notice the "vehicle comments" mentions some extras)

I presume Roush provides the fancy extras which are installed by the dealer and maybe some sort of certificate is provided? Please pardon my ignorance on the subject...:headbonk:

I'm not sure what you mean by install later? I have a 2014 Roush RS3 and it does have a Roush Window sticker which show all the upgrades and the Roush MSRP, but it started out as a stock GT. Ford ships to Roush and the they do a custom build to your order. Mine took 4 months to get. The RS2 is a GT with a body kit and track pack. The RS1 comes with the 4 cylinder eco-boost(Turbocharged) or the V-6. The 4 cylinder make 310hp as to the V-6's 305hp. Should have got the RS3 as those are very collectable and very limited. The main thing is that you happy and enjoy your new car! The RS2 are very nice! Enjoy!!

Thank you all. Question was why I will have a RS3 when the car states RS2? I like sleeper cars. I enjoy it when people think ah that car has not much power under the hood but in the end I am the one smiling.

Does anyone know how many RS2 convertibles where build?

Oh there might be someone else switching from the hellcat to the Mustang Roush because of all the things going on with the hellcat.

I am going to make a few modifications (red-black seats and possible sound modification for a deeper sound). Sad I didn't know this forum earlier to learn more about Mustangs.

OK...lemme see...so when I look at http://www.kengrodyford.com/New-2015-Ford-Mustang-ROUSH-Stage-2-Carlsbad-CA/vd/26025901 and see the Roush listing vs what is described on the window sticker as a stock GT, this sounds like it is to be expected, then. It is curious, though, that this dealership does not show the Roush window sticker (if that is what I see pictured) up close so you can't further research this car's mods, but I digress.

I am gathering (from what you are saying) is the stock GT is sent to a (The?) Roush facility for modification. From what I am reading on the Roush site, it then receives a Roush-specific production number, special badges and stickers, etc. Then I presume, per usual, these are shipped off to authorized dealers.

For the particular car in my link listed as a Roush, however, it would seem like the VIN would come up on the Roush website, and it doesn't. Does that mean it is not an "authentic" Roush, as this dealership is suggesting? Or am I completely off, and a new VIN is created?:confused:

Back to the topic at hand, I admit the more I read between the Roush site and this thread here the more befuddled I am at exactly what Stage OP originally purchased, not that it really matters, I guess; I like them all, personally, and I am jealous of him. :p;) I am confused about the sticker saying 'supercharger will be installed later'. Since OP purchased a Roush, would Roush have already installed the supercharger? Am I seriously lacking reading comprehension? Maybe I am trying to ingest too much and just need to crack open a cold one. :headbonk: At least I understand what a 'sleeper' is. :p

not sure if you know...but Jim hudson definitely wouldn't tell you about it if you bought it from them.... but then why not buy a gt and put a super charger on it and add roush cosmetic pieces if you want the roush look, wheels, stickers, and save more money?

only fancy thing about roush is they take the cars to their shops and swap out front bumper and add cosmetic parts on rs2 and put some stickers on it, exhaust, wheels/tires, and charge a premium for roush's printed signature + premium on cosmetic parts and exhaust. The car itself is not made special or any different other than it gets serialized and numbered from roush. Oh and roush sells the take off parts and gets even more money out of it!

All Roush models have the stock factory invoice on the window. It also has a Roush Window sticker. Things on the stock sticker are not correct anymore. You have to go the Roush sticker. Yes the Vin come up as the stock car. When you buy the Roush you register it with them. Insurance wise you have to do add on or if you wreck you car you can't pay it off. You owe more the you insurance covers. When you get a numbered car you get a great tuner car up front and a warranty out the back. You can buy a GT and buy the Roush things on their own. My understanding is the only 3000 RS3 were bulit in 2014. 2015 I do not know the number.
I do have the Roush sticker and my car has the build number plates. You can build one however you want, but numbered model are worth more and the are other benefits as well. Don't know how.to upload photos yet or I would show you. sorry. I'll get down soon.

You said it "doesn't have a turbocharger, yet." But, then say "it will be upgraded with a supercharger package."

So will it have a turbocharger - supercharger package?

Its tough to follow what message you're trying to get across

The OP speaks as if Yoda was buying a Mustang but I think I now understand.

He purchased a Roush RS2 convertible (built off of a GT).

Yes it was confusing how he worded his email about what the sticker said but what I think he's saying is that he will supercharge the RS2 himself at a later date (not that the dealer will be installing it at a later date) because he likes sleeper cars (not sure the RS2 qualifies as such but ok).

Not sure why he's saying turbocharger in one sentence and supercharger in the next but I think we can all assume he means supercharger.

He will also be getting some upholstery work done (himself, I assume) and do some stereo upgrades.

I think that sums it up.
