Well my dealer has no news I as a feb 4th order am still may... This is the worst managed release of a car I have ever seen. I am almost at the end of my rope to be honest. Almost prepared to buy one of the cars that will inevitably be up for a 10k premium day 1
If I get mine early I may list it for a $30K premium and see what happens

Needs to be a manual gt fastback :)
I am waiting for a call from the dealer. My wife still thinks I am insane waiting this long for a car :)

I just can't get over the terrible service from ford au (not the dealers)

I called my dealer at 12pm. Got a call back an hour later. It's now been almost 2 hours and still no call... just to check "new" ETA...

Absolute joke level of service... This experience will surely have left a lasting impression on Ford for me. Yes I know it's a brilliant car, but the way the dealerships/Ford in general are treating/handling customer is unacceptable.

Agree hybrid. I am really surprised at the lack of overall comms. How do some dealers have updated information and not others! It's pretty simple and I expect that any corporate of the size of ford would know better.

If they are by some design only bumping some cars up then this is a complete load of bs.. So buyers are penalized for which dealer they chose after
Ford made it pretty clear it was first in best dressed. Now it seems to be based on the brownie points your dealer has.

Oh well rant of the day over (unless my dealer calls and tells me it's still may)

I see it in a simple way. If deliveries has been improved for some then the dealer would of told them. If you haven't been contacted then your car probably is delayed. End of the day it is easier as a dealer to say I haven't heard anything than say oh yes 3 of our customers has improved dates but you sir are not one of them.

I wasn't contacted regarding a delay first of all.

I wasn't even contacted regarding the viewing of the yellow LHD GT...

This is btw, after calling and asking the manager. Promised to forward me the invitation. Nothing at all.

So no, I don't rely on them contacting me with good or bad info.

It's a joke of the highest level dude...

I specifically went with the ONLY dealer in Sydney that was charging a $2000 premium deposit, compared to other $500 and $1000 deposit dealers because they assured me 1st batch and December 2015 (on 31/Jan/2015). Well before the cut off date and well before even pricing was announced...

That is exactly what should never happen. Or cars should be sped up in order of order (transparent).

It's great that People are getting cars early and I am happy for them but the other side is my car is still delayed and was ordered well before a number of "sped up" orders.

This may change and I hope it does, but this scenario is terrible business in a services model and ford should lift their game. Someone over on whirlpool gave a big spiel on reasons why car manufacturing in aus failed and service was one of the reasons listed.

Exactly. What is the bloody point of going in and putting down a deposit if some random guy walks in 2 months later and manages to get delivery several months earlier...

Can i clear a couple of things up that seem to be taken the wrong way.
There will be NO - 0 - NONE - NOT ONE stock Mustang at a dealership floor for at least 12 months after launch. Basically if you cancel your order that Mustang disappears from the Dealership. If a dealership sells a pre-ordered Mustang to a client that is not the one that was originally specified there is a 6 month halt on any Mustang that dealership will be able to order - Additionally they will lose 2 Mustang orders ( They will re-allocated to another dealership ).

Upon further review of all the Mustang ETA's the only ones that didn't improve were convertibles this must be due to supply issues on the roofs. ( Not great but apparently the convertibles were always gonna be a longer delivery time.)

One of the reasons you were not contacted about a delay in delivery was because the ETA's are exactly that, Estimates. They are not set in stone. At the time we received the blown out ETA's there would be little to no point informing you and causing stress. (Could you imagine you got the call saying it was delayed - you canceled due to the delay only to find out a month later that it was resolved and the ETA's are alot better, but it's too late you canceled? That would be pretty shit.) There is a reason for our madness.

Finally the ETA's are in a section of Fords back end that sales people don't have access too. Generally only management and DP's have access to this kind of back end and it's not exactly in your face easy to find.

Oh and PS, If any one in Melbourne hasn't been invited to the Mustang Experience day your more than Welcome to private message me your details and i'll organize an invite to our one.

Behold, a dealer that actually gives a shit about their customers and takes one step further to extend viewing to non-customers!!!

Meanwhile, other dealers ignore their own paying customers...

Excellent.

UPDATE! Ford just called me finally... the manager confirmed I'm indeed 1st batch, apologised for the mix up and that I'm guaranteed delivery between October to December 2015...

Thank freaking god...

Grats! Nothing for me. I might drop in to see the dealer tomorrow. The issue is even if they say sorry it's March I'm still going to take it and they know it
