Ford tune for GT?

My plan for the car is to only add a few things that won't touch the warranty, fix the wheel hop probably, maybe a ford sport side exhaust in a year or two, much wider tires so I never have wheel spin, etc. But, once I hit 5 years, I am going to throw on a ford racing supercharger system and just make the car a monster with all sorts of supporting mods lol. The warranty is a very important part of why I bought new.

That has never been true. Reality is plenty of people are getting warranty repairs while modded, even with tunes. The only time a tune will prevent warranty coverage is for a catastrophic failure of the engine or PCM itself.

Well to be fair, a tune will void the warranty on basically all of the most expensive repairs. PCM and drivetrain are the real bitches to repair if you gotta eat the bill.

Indeed. Just making sure people are aware that if Ford says the tune caused the failure, they will deny warranty work. It's no different from a tune from Lund, Bama, etc... The only difference is that FRPP offers a short warranty.

All very true, however the warranty isn't there only to cover engine or PCM replacement. Being a tech myself I can fill this page with common failures that will be covered under warranty even with a tune or other repairs, all of which can add up to serious money that some would have you believe would be on you just by having a tune. Leaks, rattles, electrical failures, solenoids, switches, motors, valves, material failures, list goes on.
