Well this was quick. Looks like I will be doing some cams on the car. hopefully we can just get away with switching the shims around to get them to spec and not have to buy a bunch of buckets.

I'm hoping the price is real, the stock cams are only $58 and $63 so I guess there's hope.

So would changing the cam in a 4 cylinder change the sound at all?

Won't make it sound like a V8. ;) But changing the duration on the cams should change the sound, not sure how much it'll be noticed since the turbo will still be muffling the exhaust note.

I'm sure it won't sound like a canned v8 but just curious if it will make a difference

No idea how hard it will be to do a cam swap but I got pretty good at cams swaps on the 05-10's....hmmm....

Wow that is assume, I have a new ford head on the way right now, gonna see what I can do with it to make some more power, I wanted to do just a head swap and see power gains, but it ford gets these new cams out in time, it'll be a ported head/cam swap......

Good to see an option to the factory but they are pretty weak comparing to other aftermarket camshafts for other vehicles 240/240 duration? I'm use to working with 270-295 duration haha. I just put a request to order in to my Ford Racing supplier, maybe I can get these in pretty soon. I'm going to guess they aren't available yet.

Wonder how much this will decrease fuel economy. Any guesses?
Doubt any difference at all to be honest, especially off boost. The Factory VTC will make sure of it.

Also, NO ETA from Ford Racing on these. But I put in an order for 5 sets.

I am not sure if these cams will continue to be variable or not. If they are then there may be some differences in the fringe areas of operation. But to quote a duration to the lobe timing in the specifications leads me to think these may be fixed in timing. If that is the case then there will likely be a big difference where the engine may become a bit peaky in its power delivery.

I am glad you will be experimenting and look forward to hearing your analysis.
