I dont think anyone on here thinks the ADM will be there forever, but just a reality you have to deal with if you want one this year. But there have been plenty of folks who have secured MSRP deals.

Yes, and for every person who gets an MSRP deal, there will be 5 selling to someone who is willing to pay more than MSRP just to be one of the first to get one. If paying an ADM really goes against your principals, then time is your friend. Otherwise, can we just accept it is going to happen and move on?

If you dont want to hassle with it, yes. If you want a car and want it sooner than later, then you need to go find the car instead of waiting for it to come to you. So if you are willing to go well outside of your region or ship a car in, then you have better chances.

I wonder how many people are really getting MSRP deals and how many are just saying that. My dealer says he will look at average selling price to decide what to charge for the car they ordered based on my specs.

Based on what people say here, I will be close to MSRP.

People also say they got Boss 302s at MSRP, but my dealer says he sold them all with ADMs.

Something does not compute. My dealer vs. people on the internet - not sure which to believe.

The dealer has every reason to lie about the boss and any other car sold "over sticker" to stir up fear that you cant/wont get a car. They stand to gain financially by lying (same thing with lying about total production, etc etc)

Internet posters reason to lie? Well i guess there is bragging rights, but its not like buying a car at MSRP is some real feat. I will kindly post my prelimary order sheet once my car is scheduled to build with a VIN.

Dang! Sorry man, perhaps try that other dealer I sent you info on?

But I wonder if they will actually cut the MY2016 short and move to the 2017 in mid-early 2016
So who are you using to ship your car? My shipper quoted me 1900.

I've heard the same song about the 50th Anniversary LEs. And the GT350/Rs coming in on their heels doesn't help.

Not yet, Still have not decided open or closed. I was quoted $1200 for open, $1500 for enclosed from Montway which has 10,000+ reviews on uship.

I was also going to reach out to a local club and see if any of those guys had good deals for shipping cars.

My dealer said he sold all his LEs at MSRP. He said he was planning a markup, but then he saw that they weren't selling with a markup.

I've been sitting here for a few minutes pondering the question "believe a car salesmen or people on the internet?" It's blowing my mind. It's one of those unanswerable questions.
It really is, isn't it? :D I actually tend to think this guy was mostly shooting straight. But I know he wants to get as much money as possible out of me. One thing I know - at least I know exactly what the dealer's motivation is. People online - that's more random IMO.

I think the internet is correct one out of every hundred times. Look at even just past 350 arguments for this. Also I wouldn't be so quick to believe anything you hear without a contract and not a retail or buyer's order which even says on it that it may be subject to change.

Also lying benefits absolutely no one. Even if you gain a customer you will lose 5 more. I don't lose deals on price, but I also would never risk my credibility just to make a couple thousand.

Why would you ship a car? Aren't you buying the car to drive it? What better way to get a true feel for the car and learn it by driving it from the place of purchase to its final destination.
