phrenetiK's red GT - let's get to modding!

This is my first american car...ever. I love this mustang so much it still surprises me. Past car list in order: Rx8, CRX-Si, RX-7, NB Miata, NA Miata, 135i, Mazdaspeed 3.....so you wouldn't really peg me as a V8 guy, but I actually love it.

It was hard finding her in race red but I wasn't willing to compromise on what I wanted if I was going to buy a brand new car.

Her specs are: GT Premium w/ Performance Pack, Recaros, & backup sensors. I got her for right at 4 grand under msrp.

All stock:

Added black 5.0 badges and plasti dipped the front horse as well as the rear GT badge...

then I sold my stock wheels to a forum member and bought some Rohana RC7 wrapped in mickey thompson street comps.

I also installed LED switchback bulbs to get rid of front amber lights


after the 20's i couldn't stand monster truck status, so I promptly installed a set of eibach sportlines, and I also ended up installing a blank finish plate since I am more a fan of the clean look, hence why I went cheap originally and plasti dipped the GT.


this upcoming weekend she is getting a wash, clay, and wax and then I will take some legit pictures instead of potato pictures from my phone...


next mods: JLT Intake + tune(brand undecided) , spacers to get the wheels more flush with the fenders, carbon fiber wrap of stock plastic black pieces....and then saving for a very long time for some twins

interested to see what pieces you are vinyl wrapping.
im going to vinyl wrap some stuff too. I already wrapped the interior trim, but the sun baked it to hard and then it started to peel off some of the oddly shaped pieces. (mainly where the vents are)

she is so dirty! it has literally rained almost every day and continues to rain here in houston with no signs of it letting up soon, so I've given up on waiting for her to be clean.

last night i installed the anchor room tint kit. it looks great!

How does it feel to go from the handling of the rx8 to the handling of the mustang? I'd love to pick your brain about the transition.

the main thing is the mustang doesn't flick around or handle so neutrally like the rx8 did. you'll love the mustang a lot more than the rx8 I'd say

my rx8 was the only car i was really in love with, everytime i saw it and drove it I was amazed. the mustang is the exact same thing but a stronger feeling XD.

Thanks, Also for the rear lid, did you remove the GT badge? I don't see any holes.

it is the ford racing finish panel, was 100 bucks shipped from levitt ford here on the forums. the stock one has a hole after you take off the badge.
