So much for the Ford spiel about the 'traditional' tri bar tail lights, and the 'shark gill' led drl's. Surely it isn't that hard to make the tail lights red, and to incorporate a blinker led.

Anyone outside of the US seems to be treated like a second cousin!

Eh I would look at your local laws to be the culprit in this.

Not really. We have just been lumped in with eu. Which is fair enough given our market share. But what's up with the lower grill?? Looks terrible on the eu

I was just browsing through the 2nd and 3rd edition of the Australian Design Rules (ADRs)

Thing is.............I can only assume the laws are different in each individual European country as there are plenty of cars for sale in the UK with red tail lamps that can flash amber, and LED DRLs...........so you can't blame the UK

Heck, there are already US-spec cars over here that have been modified to meet UK laws and STILL maintain the red tails/front LED gills.

I can only assume Ford are accomodating the lowest common denominator and that there's ONE market out there that demands these crappy lights, so we all get them :(

Send a message to them on Facebook letting them know your disappointment with the DRLs in the fog lamps and request that their management reconsider the decision not to provide the tri bar DRLs.

I'm also unable to find it.
I understand that HID needs a washer, as per ADR, but tri-bar as DRL not being allowed is BS - plenty of these silly looking Audi's and Lexus cars running around with a bazillion globes in their headlight all acting as DRL, and to not allow tri-bar be DRL is just BS.

I don't think it'll be anything to do with ADR compliance - probably more along the lines of Ford not wanting to spend money on making an Australia specific version so we get what we're given with EU spec.
