You can do a lot better if you expand your size range a touch. Tirerack has Dunlop Winter Maxx 245/45R19 tires, which will fit fine, for $169 / each.

Wait, I didn't even see; you have the Ecoboost PP, not the GT PP. That can take 18" wheels no problem (same brakes as the non-PP GT). I had 18" Michelin X-Ice Xi3's mounted and balanced on Sport Edition A8 wheels shipped to New York for $1,400 / set, and I could have gone cheaper if I wasn't getting the top-of-the-line winter tire.

Here is my winter setup. 225/55-18 Dunlap Winter Maxx. Cost somewhat over $900 for the tires and wheels.

OP,
Look at what Jimmy and dgc333 posted. Since you have the EB PP, you can fit 18" wheels and tires. There is a large selection at good prices. Also, keep in mind that you don't have to get exactly the same size as stock. When you're looking at tire rack, click on a tire you're interested in and then look at "Specs". You can see overall tire diameter. Stock on your car is 27.1". Find something equal to that or slightly larger (for winter, more ground clearance is better), up to say 27.5" or so, so that the error for your speedometer will be within a very small amount.

The ones dgc333 posted are 27.8" diameter, so you'd be off 2.7%. At 60 mph, your speedo would only show ~58 mph.

I drove my mustang all winter (DD), snow isn't a problem on the road.

A dedicated performance winter tire provides much better traction on cold dry roads, cold wet roads, icy roads and snow covered roads than either an all season tire or summer tire.

This past winter was the worst in recorded history for the Boston area and the Mustang with the Winter Maxx tires and snow mode handled it with confidence. I would rate it better than FWD on all season tires and as good as my 4x4 pickup in everything but roads with 4-6 inches of snow accumulation.

My pickup is now relegated to spare vehicle duty and only sees a couple thousand miles a year. When the all terrain tires need replacing it will get a set of winter tires that will stay on year round.

I drove my Mustang all winter on yokohama all seasons and I drove straight through the snow. Winter tires are not mandatory in order to be able to drive in snow, just knowing how to drive in it. Snow mode was also amazing if you have the premium

if you're driving in winter, just get the damn winter tires.
