2-22 Thunderhill Raceway in CA overview!

Hey guys I have some more feedback on the car from this past Sunday

At this point the car has:
Cobb ots stage 1 tune
UPR dual catch can
Ultimate racing intercooler
Custom 25 row oil cooler
Custom 3 inch catback
DSS CF driveshaft
MGW shifter

The biggest issue at my last event was heat soak, the next was oil temperatures.

At the last event charge temps were well over 150 with ambient temps being 60-65. Oil got up to 248 very quickly even with the loss of power.

This past Sunday with ambient temps of 75+ oil temps would not pass 250f and were stable, charge temps were in the 130f range and did way better than stock. From what I can see this car runs somewhat high oil temperatures, on the in dash gauge the dial is still in the green at 250f with room till it hits yellow.

With that said I will switch from Amsoil 5w-30 signature to Amsoil premium protection 10w-40. This will help keep oil pressure up and give the motor better protection at higher temperatures.

The shifting was extremely smooth the whole day, the MGW shifter and CF driveshaft really work well together.

April 12th is my next track day and I have a few things that should be on the car before then.

I have custom wheels which should be here the first week of April and will be mounted with Hankook RS3s.
Steeda lowering springs.
BMR goodies and hopefully an intercooler from ATM so I can put it through its paces.

Are you doing track days with a particular club or just open track days? I've wanted to make it up there.

I really like NCRC but there are other such as speed ventures and speed dynamics.

All great organizations with really good instruction if you need it. Pm me and I'd be more than happy to meet up at one of these events.

Why you switching IC? Jw is all. Nice to see your made that with essentially a tune. I've got the tune and intake/dp. Hoping I'll be close to 300hp.

Just trying another intercooler out.

At the moment there is very little comparison between all of the intercoolers on the market so since I have access to a different intercooler I'd like to do some side by side testing. Hopefully others will appreciate it.

Great video. I love TH, especially turns 1-9, where it is almost like driving a mountain road - very flowing. Haven't driven the new section yet, but from what I've seen it looks even more natural (but maybe a bit too tight?).

Hope to make it out this year with NCRC, but it seems most of their trackdays are on weekends this year, and I typically need to take a day off work and do a weekday event.

Photos and dyno look pretty dang good as well!

Thanks! I've made it a goal to do a sub 2 minute at Thunderhill and burto willow before trying out other tracks.

I may do Sonoma and Laguna this year but we'll see.

Hopefully I'll see you out there I have 10 trackdays planned this year
