Are these supposed to have a step-bit with the kit? Just curious as someone claimed to have gotten one in the tube and most others have not.

Yes, there is a 3/4" step bit included in the systems that are currently shipping from us. Our initial shipment of the drill bits was delayed and some of the dealers that placed early stocking orders did not receive them in their system packaging.

The only modification required is a small 3/4" hole that is drilled in the plastic battery cover. We even include the drill bit with the system.

I just installed mine yesterday and saw the hood flexing real bad at the hinge due to it being an aluminum hood. Have you found this to be an issues at all or think long term there will be a problem? Other than that the product is perfect! Thanks redline.

Do you have photos of where it is flexing? I'd like to be on the lookout for this when I install mine.

Several OEM's use the same mounting location as we do for the gas springs on Aluminum hoods.

When I installed mine it was obvious Ford has worked with redline, or vice versa. It only begs the question why they did not come from the factory with these.
