Good morning everyone,
I recently purchased the 2018+ Redline Tuning Elite Hood Strut kit for my 2018 Ecoboost. I installed it the other day following the video on CJ Pony Parts, and the instructions. Everything went in, but I think it has caused my hood to go out of alignment, and recently upon opening it I heard what appeared to be a cracking sound, so I am really hoping I installed this correctly.
Hoping to get some help from everyone about if I have done anything wrong. Took the best photos I could, sorry if they are dark. The hood looks sunken from the driver and passenger side. Lower than the fenders, which may be normal, never paid attention to it before. See the photos for more detail. The only other thing and this might just be because they are new, when I get the hood to half way it doesn't open smoothly on it's own. It might do like an inch and then it needs a push to go all the way up.
Let me know if anyone has any advice or suggestions.
