Been a lot of discussion but i still have a few questions that seem to be unanswered so if anyone from Ford UK could answer then I'd be very grateful.

1. Is the European GT less powerful than the one from the States or is it do with things being measured differently?

2. Can we get the 5 year extended warranty on a Mustang?

3. Do the tri bar day time running lights look the same as the American one?

4. When we will start seeing the cars in the showroom as be good to see what the Lustre Nickel alloys look in person before ordering the upgrade package etc etc. Although im in the States in the summer so could look then, assuming the wheels are the same???

Talking to the dealer, the difference in horse power is due to how power can be advertised. In Europe, cars have to be advertised with horse power from standard unleaded (95RON/89AKI), in America they can advertise it as being the higher figure even though you need super unleaded (97RON/91AKI).

Actually not sure it does because a higher octane fuel does not make a car more powerful, it justs helps prevent misfires with high performance engines??

If misfires are prevented, the car can be tuned to run more aggressive timing, and make more power.

Right okay thanks. So we're all in agreement that the power of the UK Mustang GT is the same as the USA Mustang?!!

Based on other forum discsussions and on what was displayed on the Geneva car show the TRi-bars are unfortuneatly not the DRL's, the DRL's are the ridiculous lights in the bumper :headbonk:..Would however be great to have final Ford confirmation on the topic...I'm afraid we'll be all disappointed...

The national branches are either clueless or not forthcoming when it comes to actual and accurate information. All I can say I trust Ford Motor Company to come up with a 'decent enough' version of the car if they are really serious about selling it here.

In Canada, the tri-bars are not sufficient for DRL regulations, so the fog lights are the DRLs. The tri-bars are still lit all the time, though. I'd imagine this will be the same in Europe.

A solution I could live with. :)
What happens with the tri-bars if the headlights are turned on?
German brochure shows tri-bars of then. :/

Not putting a deposit down until finance information released and we have official word from Ford about what exactly we're getting.

I saw one last night (first one I've seen in the wild at night, actually) and they were still lit up.

Different car, but for what it's worth the bars on my 2014 stay on at all times, as well (even though the fogs are technically the DRLs).
