Roush Heat Extractors

Just had my heat extractors delivered. I was wondering if anyone has installed them yet, and if the drilling is absolutely necessary. Seems the stock extractors are held in with mostly clips, and I'm not sure I trust myself that much to drill in to a brand new car.

And just because I'm curious as to how it looks, does anyone have them installed on Magnetic? If I like the look enough, I may just have to suck it up and roll with it.

I'm pretty sure the part you drill does not show even if you put back to stock

Doing that to them had crossed my mind. I'd really like to see them after the hydrodip and the install.

His video is really what made me wonder if they had to be drilled. When he takes the stock ones out, all that really holds them in are the clips. At least, that's what I saw.

It's a water transfer printing process. Basically puts a thin film that has an image or pattern on almost anything using water.

Heh, mine are at my local hydrographics place right now as well, though they run a bit slow and likely won't have em done till next week sometime.

I had my vents done on my '07 GT500 and it made an immense improvement on the appearance of the hood. No more cool car with crap plastic spoiling the view.

Those look really good. I was considering getting them color matched, but now I'm considering this.
