I've read multiple posts and also other sources on the Internet that the stock boost tops out around 18 psi. I've never hit over 10psi on my ecoboost no matter how hard I push it. I have MMR intake, MRT catted turboback and stock tune. Just wondering if something might be wrong if I am only getting 10 psi? Could my gauge just be wrong?

Where do you live? The car adjusts boost to reach a certain torque target. If it's really cold out the car won't need as much to reach the target. You could also have a boost leak, might check your connections by the IC.

I live in Missouri. Its 35 out right now, and I'm still only getting 10 psi. I've never touched the IC or its connections before, so how likely would a boost leak be? Thanks for the reply by the way.

There's been a couple people that have had the hoses blow off without ever touching them. It can happen, might not have been installed well from the factory. You should be able see with a flash light from the top without having to get under the car or anything.

Does the car feel weak? And are you running 93 octane?

The ECUs probably withholding boost because of low ambient temps

I'll have to check the IC when I get home. But with it being 35 outside should I still be making closer to 18psi or is 10 about right? I also have my blow off valve venting to atmosphere, don't think that should make a difference though..

VTA shouldn't cause any problems. The PP gauge can be hard to tell what the real boost pressure is. It really might be just the temperature or other variables limiting boost, but it should make consistent power.

You could always run a few 0-60s and see if it's in the right neighborhood :)

That is if you can get traction

Yep, my passenger side lower IC hose blew off with less than 100 miles on the car and no wrenches turned on it. Check the lower coupling on the passenger side.

When that happened did it make any noise? And were you getting any boost at all after the hose blew off?

The turbo sounded like a jet, lol. mine blew completely off though. Yours could just be leaking, waiting on a good romping to blow it completely off.
