So i know this is asked so frquently that this may annoy some of you.. but i need some clarity before moving forward on this part.

I have the following mods waiting to be put on:

Ford racing 90mm TB
Steeda Intake(required tune)
arh headers
corsa extreme catback

The reason im so sketchy about tunes is that there has been so much talk about the sct x4 having a lot of issues. Parameters being block or not manageble on our s550 platforms. Some engines have had problems after using Bama's email tunes...

I have an x4 and ive been planning on going through Lund for a tune but is it worth it using the x4 or is it more worthwhile to wait for their ngauge?

if all fails just go dyno....

I have an sct x4 tunes by Justin. Some stuff is missing but with what you have, it shouldn't be an issue. I'm happy with mine.

So you think having the x4 is good enough for this set up??
i do plan to go supercharged next year so hopefully theyll have unlocked the "parameters" by then

The x4 is fine, there are no issues with it. The only thing it can't do is change the shift points on an auto car. Yes there are things that are missing, but with both the PCM and tuner being only a few months old things should open up in the future. The ngauge sounds nice but no one seems to know much more about it such as price, release date etc. A dyno won't be much different unless you're using a different tuning software other than sct, which most dynos use. Also I'd look at returning the TB as they aren't needed on this car. The intake portion of this motor is pretty much maxed out.

if you want to get a lund tune, and you end up swapping to the ngauge or hyperbox later on, we aren't going to charge you to move the tune over.

my suggestion would be let us do a tune for you and if your not happy down the road, swap then.

we've been doing a lot of calibration updates to deal with the limited parameters

I called beefcake yesterday as I was having driveabilty issues with mine. It was bogging and cutting out. They sent me a revised tune and man did it make a difference. No more bogging or cutting out. I will either get the hyper box or ngauge when it becomes available.

I've been trying to get updates to everyone that got tunes originally when first released.

we are always trying to make things better for the customer and want customers to be happy!

Sounds like a plan! I just ordered the lund tuning from you guys. Can't wait to feel the difference. I hope you guys can tune for the 90mm TB. i know people say its a waste of $$$ but when i finally go FI I think having a bigger throttle body for the Procharger is going to help.

Finally got some time last night to flash the revision in my car from Lund, short drive to work today, but it feels much better. Can't say its 100%, but will tell over the next few days of driving.

I figured with beef backing it up I'd be okay. Pulled the trigger a couple of days ago for a stock tune, and :D

My 90mm will be here thursday
Steeda said the Cai will be shipped by the end of the week
and my corsa extreme is still:shrug:

I didn't think that a base tune would feel that different. WAY TO GO BEEF!!

**** Also after uploading the tune, i drove from san diego to LA!!!! what a fun drive!!!

Beef how do i get my tune updates
