Is there an eta on the release yet? Just asking because I thought on the site it mentioned the 15th.

David -

I may be interested in going with Steeda for my CAI. I'm running Bama's track tune on my '15 GT and I know I'll need to update my tune when I put a CAI on the car. (Also have Ford Racing's touring cat backs.)

I'm assuming there are no issues with Steeda's CAI and a Bama tune?

Also, any HP and torque gain numbers from the CAI that you can share?

Thanks.

Yeah I'd like to know as well, I really wanted to get a tuner and cai before March 7th when I'll be going to a mustang even in bradenton.

Great question. Since off the bat our CAI won't require a tune (we are including a restrictor in the kit to allow this), a Bama tune already loaded onto your car for a stock setup will still work with our CAI. Once the restrictor is removed, that's a different story and would require a new tune.

We will share the gains and a full write-up/video next week. :)

Thanks, David.

Since I can get free Bama tunes for life now, I would get the revised tune and upload it into the car at the same time I put on the CAI.

Would hope to get a little more HP and torque gains from the CAI and revised tune, although she is beast already and I find myself having to be careful with when and where I let her romp.

I'm pulling the trigger on the CAI and SCT tuner. I'll just download the CAI tune when it's available and remove the restrictor.

Why is it so much more expensive on your Canadian site? Even after taking the ridiculous exchange rate into account it is still $40 more.

Okay getting antsy to order my CAI and tuner, is there any reason to order the steeda over the JLT? Looks like the steeda intake has more of a closed heat shield around the air filter to keep more heat out, however does the JLT's open design around the tubing give a better air flow?

Nope, you want to keep as much of the engine bay heat out of the filter area as possible. Sucking in hot air decreases performance. The Steeda intake is just a better quality intake. All you have to do is look the pics of both & tell difference. Steeda quality is top notch!!

Sounds great!

While Steeda CA is a distributor of ours, as long as they abide by our MAP policy they can price the CAI as they see fit.

I agree, Jetman. I'm assuming the hp/torque increase of two will be close to the same. But I'm leaning towards the higher quality/better looking Steeda CAI.
