I don't think the Airaid I have is anything close to stock. I have the one pictured and am asking a simple question....

I think you need a tune to use that intake.

It's running super lean, that's got to be it... I just picked up a x4. Looking at tuners

Honestly the first night I installed my MMR intake I felt similar loss and few pounds lower boost but after driving a little and leaving the car over night must of reset something because by the am I felt a little more power in higher rpm and boost gauge was nearing 20 when gunning it hard

Maybe that's all it needs, some time to recalibrate....

Greg, you are correct... I'm not sure what the problem is. I am going to get in touch with either Bama or Torrie. Both have tuned cars for me in the past. I am worried if I use Torrie he will upload a generic based tune for the standard airaid as no one I know of is running the Race version yet.

These cars are speed density and therefore don't need to be tuned for an intake to work, whether that's the MAP, JLT, Airaid, etc.

Do this! Pull the negative battery terminal and then get inside the car. Turn the headlight switch on and mash the brake pedal. This should get rid of any residual battery charge in the system. Let the car sit for a little bit, maybe 10-15 minutes, then hook the negative terminal back up.

That'll reset the learned parameters within the ECU. Once you do that, drive the car a couple hundred miles to get everything relearned, then report back to us. I guarantee that it'll be business as usual after an ECU relearn.

It's usually a 'good practice' to reset the ECU learned parameters and KAM after installing any new mods. This is much easier with a tuning device because you have the option to reset those on the device itself and don't have to pull the terminal.
