So.. I kept my '17 and had a whipple gen 6 stage 1 fitted at Modurstang. Totally over the moon with my discision, loving the extra grunt.

Not at all, gen6 stage1 is perfect (for me) to use on the road. I have no intention of tracking it or going to the 'Pod'. Feels much like standard until 2.500 rpm upwards which makes overtaking etc much easier. I've never driven or been in a stage 2 whipple so can't comment on drivability of that amount of increase.
