Listen...forget all this Livernoise BS...this thread should alone make you not want to do business with them.

Go into any thread where a tuner is being attacked and you will see the same thing. COBB was attacked as well and responded horribly, but you probably didn't know about it, and your tune still works flawlessly. Basing the value of a tuning company's ability to tune on forum threads about semantics is horrible.

Facts are, livernois showed what they are capable of with the ecoboost platform. Maybe they did it in a manner of which you don't agree, which is irrelevant. They did it, no one else has. Their vehicle is still running. They ran into issues regarding cold weather and updated ecu software, and instead of sending out tunes they weren't confident in, they delayed the tunes. They wanted a reliable and safe product to the customer. Come springtime when the tracks open up, I'm sure you'll see their customers posting similar times to their initial videos.

His car makes GREAT power, but a 120MPH trap...no. 117 or so TOPS.

The EB doesn't need to go all out because of the fact that it is 450Lbs lighter. It will put lengths on the Coyote off the line, and the Coyote will run it down.
EB is 450 lb lighter? Or do you mean 'your' EB is that much lighter? I don't want to prep anything to see how quick my cars are. Glory runs don't do anything for me...drive them to the race track as I drive them on the street...esp a DD.

Long time ago I drove a friend's 420 rw full weight plus some WS6 to 120...less weight, but less power...figured it'd be a wash if dynos were comparable.... Made for a nice street car - not too fast, not too slow - and would like something similar but w/ today's refinement as a DD.

I was sooo excited about the EB, but really thinking now it won't do what I want. May just keep focusing on old stuff...

How fast are you guys wanting to run with your 4cyl dd? I bought the car with the expectation of being faster than most v8's ,including the stock Gt with just a tune. This car delivers. In a few months iam sure we'll see lots of mid to low 12 sec time slips. Iam ok with a few changes for track use. I don't put on a 3pc suit to go workout...that's the beauty of a modern tune. A dd and a track car with just a flash of the ecu.( and a tire change) ;)

Personally I am wanting a low-12, high-11 second car with stock turbo and full weight. I think this is completely possible and will make an incredibly fun DD. This (hopefully) won't be my "race" car but I do want to run good times without breaking the bank as I will be putting it on the track frequently.

Herr_poopschitz is the one who argued it, ask him. The moderators cleaned the whole thing up.
Yep. Wasn't so much 'Cobb' as Ian, I think. Kyle and Braden, who've been posting since, are quite professional and knowledgeable.

Because arguing 90Lbs between my estimate and the actual difference is laughable....
We have 4 S550 cars in the shop RIGHT NOW. Weigh them...361Lbs between our Tech PGK and the 50th Anny GT.
He wasn't arguing 90lbs - he was arguing you saying there is a 450lbs difference when published figures put the difference closer to 200lbs.

Would it have been so hard to just say initially that these were the weights you were seeing? And why state 450 when you are seeing a 360 difference?

You are correct, which is why we amended our post. Sometimes it takes a reevaluation to notice that.

Our apologies on that front.

Anyways guys, this is all we want to summarize:

We are grateful for our customers that are pleased with their results

We are only trying to educate the community and prevent people running into issues and being burned by less honest and open people, even if it means not doing any mods at all because we know that someone that has a bad experience is likely never to mod a car again.

We did do things first, before anyone else did, and also discovered the cold weather issue before anyone else, but without ever having a customer experience the problem

We haven't ran faster than 11.8 because we set out to develop the upgrades to go quicker, and by the time it was done the tracks are long closed. Us moving to another track would not be accurate results, and we care about accuracy, not smoke and mirrors

We feel we offer something unique, and better than others. Time will reveal if we are correct or not, or confidence comes from the fact that on Every EcoBoost platform we are the ones that stick around, and prove our claims.

We welcome competition, it makes us that much more committed and focused on churning out safe, powerful, and reliable tunes and products.

Spring can't get here soon enough, and we can't wait to hit up the track with some more upgrades :)
