Call them, they have the best customer service. They will probably send you a brand new one for free. Keep in mind though some stuff they consider normal wear and consumables. A backing plate technically is a product that you should expect to replace every once in awhile.

I have multiple polishers too. But I have the Griot's G9,G8 and the cordless BOSS polisher. Only reason I didn't get the G15 from them is because I have a cordless Milwaukee 15mm polisher. And I bought the Adam's micro polisher that I use as my dedicated 1 inch polisher.

I have a mix of Griot's polishing pads and Rupes polishing pads. I prefer the Rupes pads.

Griot's is the way to go for polishers though, they have a lifetime warranty on them. And out of all the polishes and compounds I have ever used, I like Griot's the best for that too. And I have tried Rupes entire line, Sonax entire line, Meguiars entire line, Griot's entire line of polishes and compounds. A very close second is Sonax.
I’ll look at the Rupes pads, thanks for the tip.

No problem at all, if you have any other questions just ask. Also I know you said you wanted before and after pictures of those Diode Dynamic fog lights, So I went out and took some before pictures today when it got dark.

Just give me some time to install them and I will get the after pictures too. I am just waiting on the rest of my parts to come in so I can install everything at once. So far what I have to install and what I am waiting on is foglights, h pipe, air oil separator, sway bars, toe link bearings, rtr wicker bill for the spoiler and hood struts.

I'm considering painting my calipers too but I am not sure what color to paint them. Also there is a slight chance I am going to change out my lowering springs but again not sure yet. I am hoping once I clock the bushings that my ride quality will improve.

I recently bought a Uniden R8 radar detector and a Viofo A229 plus front and rear dash cam setup. I only use the radar detector when traveling in states that allow the use of radar detectors, otherwise I take it down and leave it at home if I am in a state that does not allow it. My car has the safe and smart package, So I do not have much room behind the rear view mirror to mount anything.

I am also not a huge fan of mounting anything on the windshield which obstructs my view. So I sat in the car and looked around until I could come up with an idea. I think I am the first one to ever do this.

I took down the passenger side sun visor with the intentions of reusing those mounting holes. And once it was down I realized that it would work. So I made a few measurements and started building a template out of cardboard.

I was not happy at all with the first template, so I made another one and made some adjustments and was happy the second go around. Once I had the template I was happy with I decided to make my bracket out of a sheet of pvc plastic instead of wood.

The reason for this is if you somehow ever spilled something on it or your detail products get it wet or just moisture in general from leaving your windows down or whatever, it wouldn't rot.

After I cut the piece I needed, I test fitted it. Once I was happy with the test fit, I painted it just plain black so it would blend in the best it could. I ended up hardwiring both the dash camera and the radar detector. That way my dash cam records front and rear even when the car is turned off and locked.

Before anyone asks, no it will not drain my battery all the way down, because the hardwire kit I bought has a switch that turns off the dash camera when the battery drains to a certain point.

I decided since it was hard wired, I wanted to have both on a kill switch. So I added 3 switches. 1 for the dash cam, 1 for the radar detector and 1 that is not hooked up but I added it in case I wanted to add something else in the future.

My car is velocity blue so I bought switches that when turned on have a little blue led light on each switch. I thought that would go well with my blue interior lights that come in the car from the factory.

If you look in between the steering wheel and the volume control knob in this picture you can see where I mounted the switches. That way they are easy to turn on and off from the driver seat. I dont have to reach over to the mount on the headliner to turn them off.

No rush at all on the fog light pictures.

My vote, for caliper color would be Velocity Blue. Mainly because I’m not a fan of red calipers on a blue car. I feel color match is a great way to go. I had been looking at ordering a new ‘25 Grabber Blue Mustang, and was disappointed they couldn’t come in Grabber Blue like the ‘24s could. Was going get Notorious Blue, so they were at least blue.

BTW - Velocity Blue is a great color. My ‘22 Maverick was that color, and I got it again on my ‘25 Maverick.

I've got the exact same ride, but in carbonized metallic grey! I found your excitement for the care genuine and just fun to read about! Great work on the write up and the car looks great! God bless you and God bless America!

I was thinking the exact same thing on the caliper color. G2 paint has an option where they will mix you any color you want. So I might give them a call and order there velocity blue caliper paint.

Thank you very much for the kind words, it took quite a while to type all this up. I got some more parts in today for the car. So I will post up some pictures and I plan to start working on the car here in the next couple of days.

Great choice on your exhaust system, that was the one I was going to buy but since my car came with the active exhaust I decided to keep that and just bought a Roush H pipe to give it a little more sound.

If the weather is nice, once I finish installing all the parts I plan on taking the car out for a nice drive and hope to get some more pictures of it and an exhaust sound clip video.

Thank you brother, Thr exhaust is my fav thing on the car. I’m a couple weeks out from doing a GT500 frond bumper swap. I had some kind of metal slide the front bumper pretty badly on the highway and don’t like the stock front end anyway. Then comes a hood, then comes new shoes. I’ve got some plans. These are great cars

Ok all the parts I have been waiting on are finally here. So my next update will be me posting pictures of the install. When the sway bars came in, I immediately listed them for sale.

Because I was planning on selling my Ford performance track springs because they were giving a little too much feedback on the road for me. I was planning on buying another spring and buying the sway bars to match whatever spring I ended up buying.

But after talking to a lot of people on this forum they all had the same advice. Which was ANY lowering spring you buy will not ride as smooth as stock and they told me to make sure I have my bushings clocked and the car aligned before I give up on the Ford performance kit.

I think I was hyper focused on the suspension and being too picky because it was new. Lesson learned. So I am going to keep the sway bars and the rest of the Ford performance track handling kit and finish installing the rest of the kit along with clocking the bushings and having a alignment done.

People ask me all the time what is your goals for the car? Honestly, I don't have any goals other than modify my car, improve my car, maintain my car and drive my car. That's my goal. To enjoy this whole process of improving the car, working on it, driving it.

I am not trying to build a drag car, a road course car, a drift car or a car built for likes on instagram. I am trying to build MY car.

I also wanted to give a huge shout out to @MrMike @txgt @Dave2013M3 @Steeda-Sergio @NightmareMoon @StangTime @Sevensixteen @DTeal23 @86pagt for helping me out with a ton of questions about my car. Guys like them make this forum a great place to ask questions and get help with your car.

Here are some pictures of some of the new stuff that I got to go along with all the other parts I still need to install. I should be starting the install in a few days.

Ok a small little update, I installed the Roush hood struts. I chose Roush over all the other brands because they have more mounting points and the biggest brackets. I really like them.

How was it taking off the hood nuts? It seems like it would be a little unnerving, wondering if the hood alignment would shift. Plus messing up the factory paint on the nut.

The hood nuts came right off for me. You are correct though the paint does get a little messed up on the hood nuts. Nothing a little touch up paint can't fix.

The hood nuts came right off, I was nervous about aligning the hood and or chipping my paint somewhere. But I had my dad help me and we just took our time aligning the hood.

We were actually able to align the hood better than how it came from factory. The panel gaps are now more even on both sides. As far as the paint on the nuts, I just touched them up with my Dr. color chip touch up paint that I had.

Also I know you said you wanted to see the difference in the Diode Dynamic fog lights. I just finished installing them. But the car is up on jack stands again because I am also going to paint the calipers.

I chose to color match them, so I will be ordering G2 caliper paint in Velocity blue and new black brembo brake caliper decals.

So my next update will have the fog light before and after pictures you asked about and the calipers painted. I have been pretty busy lately and then I was dealing with a health problem the past couple weeks. So I hope to have those pictures up soon.
