Hello, I am currently rebuilding my 3.73 Differential on my 2019 Bullitt. I have installed a new ring gear, a new pinion, as well as all new bearings, etc. I have put .41 Shims under the pinion and wanted an opinion on how the pattern looks with gear making compound. Please let me know as I do not have that much experience with differentials and thank you!

This might help.
Interesting, everything I saw said that the drive side should look like a “football” and centered. But the other is not even close to being the same. Just really confused and my be overthinking it.

This pattern looks pretty good to me.
I assume you meant: (.041) pinion shim
Showing just a little heavy towards the root of the ring gear (as being too deep)
Ideally, more pinion distance would help (Thinner Pinion shim)
Most of the Super 8.8 rears I have set-up, I used between .035 - .040 pinion shim (Depending on R&P Manufacturer)
But, both drive-side and coast-side patterns are centered pretty close (Heel to Toe).
This setup should be pretty quiet.

You have no idea how grateful I am. I have been overthinking that I did it wrong, and that the pattern is not perfect etc. How detrimental would it be that the backlash is about 0.065”?

I usually shoot for Backlash = .008 to .010
But I also have noticed the angle with which you are checking backlash can vary your reading.
(Your Dial Indicator needs to be exactly perpendicular to the tooth)
Also, Checking the backlash with gear marking compound on the teeth will give you a lower reading.

Here is a good reference for the Super 8.8 "Face Hobbed" setup
