Hi everyone I need some help. My car got the hood replaced after a accident and swapped from the np concepts hood to the iKon hood (gt500 style for both). The mp hood fit great but rubbed the crap out of the wiper and the iKon hood is now doing the same but to a lesser extent but from my forum research it's supposed to be the best quality aftermarket option but the one side has a HUGE gap from the hood sitting to high, the other side is better but has an inconsistent gap where the hood starts high then dips low in the middle and goes back to high with 2 visible dents at the low spot. Body shop is blaming it on low quality hood. What are my options? Is it something a different shop can fix or do I need to pay to replace the hood and repaint a new hood? I can update with pictures if I have any or ill get some good photos in a few days my car is back in the shop for a neighbor backing into it. Please help, I'm just trying to make it look nice ish and it's issue after issue.

I purchased an aftermarket GT500 style hood (MP Concepts), and I can attest the aluminum gauge is much thinner than the OEM hood. So yes, it is more vulnerable to dents. I don't park under oak trees bearing nuts, as I'm that concerned about dents resulting from dropping acorns.
So when the body shop is blaming the issues on a low quality hood, that to me could easily be what he/she is pointing out.
As for fit on the MP Concepts, I've not experienced the wiper clearance issues you mention. If it is occurring with the IKON hood as well, I would look at adjusting your hood forward. I may not be having the same issue as you are, as I wanted to lessen the bumper cover-to hood gap. That of course would give a bit more clearance at the back near the wipers.
BTW...as for dents, a good dent puller company may be able to help. When I received my hood from MP Concepts there were a couple dents that the body shop had a dent puller company remove before painting. They did a great job.

The dent is more of the entire hood creased in a spot. It's strange. I'll updTe with photos later this week. I previously had an mp concepts hood and it fit fine besides hitting the wipers. But this one has massive panels gaps.

You are taking a chance with any aftermarket hood. Especially panels made over-seas. Your body shop should have advised you of any imperfections or fitment issues and let you decide what to do about it before they painted and installed it. That said, there are many ways of adjusting and/or tweeking aftermarket panels to make them fit better. I run a body shop on the "left coast" and we typically will not install a non-oem style aftermarket part because they require so much additional work to get them right.
Speaking from experience, my Cervini hood fit better than I expected but I still spent many hours adjusting, shimming and fine tuning to get it to where it fits 95% perfect.

The no concepts hood fit better than my oem hood and form what I've read the iKon was supposed to be much better. I'll grab some photos tomorrow once the daylight hits and maybe you might have some tips for me or things I can ask a local shop to try to do for me. It needs pdr unfortunately for the crease on the edge from the shop pushing down on it. I think I'll be fine where it's rubbing the wiper since it's not super visible. Unless your nn the driver's seat and even then you have to look for it. But will the missing paint cause corrosion?. I twisted the hood up there to try and give clearance but not much luck. I'll take a video of what I do and see if i just need to go farther or if I'll damage it by going farther
